Should send Lidge to the DL until his knee heals properly. JC comes back in like a week to add another arm to the bullpen.

Is it possible Lidge doesn't pitch the 9th (if they hold on to the lead)?

It's possible, but not likely:

"Manuel said he will continue to call on Lidge in save situations, adding that his stuff is good but his location is off."

Bacon sounds way less standard than peppers.

both sound good though. marinara sounds interesting too.

Ugh. The are thousands of pitchers out there in the minor leagues and college whose "stuff is good", doesn't mean I want them as my closer.

All this talk about whether we're more afraid of Sabathia or Burnett and Lidge turns out to be the true terror. Lol

I dont order steaks out of the tri-state area, Im sure there are other regional foods that people wouldnt do the same.

A pizza steak? I used to get this from a lunch truck at drexel it was super good, a steak with marinara, prov cheese, and peperoni. It was really good but the roll gets soggy fast so munch quick--->Pete's little lunch box (no longer there).

I think mayo is gross in general, but on a steak it is prob the worst ever IMO.

I lived in Manayunk when they opened, very solid steak and a nice spot. Get a steak after you slum it up at the Cressen Inn? lol

+100, Chubby's, Delasandros, Johns roast pork, tony lukes, in no particular order, for me at least.

John's Roast Pork is my go-to steak, followed by D'Alessandros and Chinks.

Mayo on a steak is horrible.
Good post, I need to try Chinks btw.

Yea I said that and I know it was odd, based only off of the playoffs last year. Lidge? ugh what to do?

This series had a playoff atmosphere though, 2 very good teams battling. Great baseball. Chooch is the man glad to have him back!

So Condrey is far and away the MVP of the pitching staff this season, isn't he?

Here we go lets do this, we need a nice easy blow out tonight. One where we can forget about the back of the bullpen issues.

Im surprised nobody has commented on last nights game.

Great performance by Blanton, that was very impressive. He had the hitters guessing the whole night, although I cant name more then 1 or 2 smart hitters on the Marlins they make some bad decisions at the plate.

Unfortunately it was overshadowed by some spotty late inning bullpen action from Eyre and Durbin. Although Lidge gave up a run I thought that he handled the situation quite well, and the slider he threw to Helms to strike him out was one of the best Ive seen him throw all year.

In a game like that I would rather see Madsen go in the 9th but I know that would cause a Closer controversy which would be annoying.

Blanton's game was awesom! 11 Ks, 5 hits, 0 ER and just two walks?! Love it.

Going to a new bar tonight to watch Myers pitch, hopefully it's not all just Mets fans there, though I'm sure I won't get the game audio.
