Well last night was pretty dissapointing. Moyer didnt look great but he also was not getting the calls on the corners which he relies on getting so heavily.

Is anyone watching this game right now? Why does Russell Martin have "J. Martin" on the back of his jersey.

His full name is Russell Nathan Jeanson Coltrane Martin, Jr. (lol btw) what is he using Jeanson as his first name or something, or is it a mistake? Man I hope its a mistake its always funny when they mess up jerseys.

Either way, hopefully Chan Ho can somewhat repeat his performance from last week, we need a win.

He lets baserunners on. He did it last year and got away with it. This year, not so much.

Romero will be very welcome back.

4 steals in the game, and that steal of home was a beaut. Nice game to remember.

That was an awesome play, thats a smart baseball player right there.

Solid win, we need to go on a run of winning a few series in a row.

What is the scouting report on Carpenter?

I'm happy that Happ picked up the win last night, but I wanted to see him work as a starter tonight.

Man, its tough to watch Lidge struggle like he did last night.

BTW, what are we going to do with Jamie??

Nice game today from Myers, our staff needed an outing like that.

These are the projected starters for that series via cbs sportsline. I dont know if they are to be correct.

May 22nd Chan Ho Park vs Aj Burnett
May 23rd J.A. Happ vs Andy Pettite (Really?)
May 24th Cole Hamels vs CC Sabathia!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to that.

Yeah, that was huge as the first part of a double header.

Madson disappointed in that 8th. Hell, Taschner could have done

I would assume Happ is starting because of the double header

No, he pitched the 11th and 12th last night for the win.

They called up Andrew Carpenter to pitch tonight against Cabrera (who got rocked by the Giants on Monday).

I think he is referring to my earlier post about him starting against the Yankees coming up next week.

I know Happ was supposed to go to today but I thought that the rotation was going to be back to normal by then.

BTW, Carpenter didnt look too bad. The results have been so so, but I like the movement he has on his pitches...seem promising.

No doubt.

Geting Happ in the rotation somewhere is key.

What do you do with Moyer and his two year contract?

Just suck it up IMO.

Didnt most people say he deserved that contract bc of all he did for us in getting the ring? Well this is the part that people dont think about. If that makes any sense.

I really love the ballpark TR, but the pictures make it really tough for me to load this page, so let's make the 5 or 6 more posts necessary to get onto page 4!

I've always thought Moyer was a decent bullpen option. And if moving Moyer to the bullpen could mean that Jack Taschner never throws another pitch as a Phillie, I'd be pretty happy with that.

I'm also not ready to give up on Jamie just yet. He's been through plenty of tough stretches even in his short time as a Phillie. If 5 more starts go by and he can still only beat the Marlins....well, then it may be time to consider something else.

Chan Ho really got squeezed by the home plate umpire in the first inning today. That, along with the awful, awful, awful no-swing call during Zimmerman's AB, played a big part in the terrible first inning. Chan Ho's pitches really looked like they had good movement on them, he really didn't pitch nearly as badly as his line would suggest.

I dunno, I'd love to have Happ in the rotation too, but he's pitching some real quality innings for us out of the bullpen. I'm sure that Charlie is afraid of shattering Park's confidence and ensuring that he gets absolutely zero contribution from Chan Ho this season.

Hmm so maybe giving a 46 year old pitcher a 2 year contract(lol) wasn't a good idea

If you use some kind of ad block you can right click on the images and just block them.
