Just heard on WIP that Paulino was traded for a LHP reliever.

Looks like the guy we got really sucks. Whatever, now there is much less pressure to put Happ in the bullpen.

It doesnt matter much though, Paulino was borderline worthless for this team. Anything in return was worth it IMO.

Next Sunday 8pm can't come soon enough actually.

Jenkins is released.

Made-up rumor: Sheffield planning on being backup at 1B and LF.

Why would they release Jenkins instead of Stairs?

And I thought I couldn't dislike Amaro any more than I already do. Sign Sheffield and we are officially at an infinite level of hate.

Maybe they figure that Stairs is a better PH, which is what the lineup stop will be used for.

More importantly, who is winning the 5th starter spot? One of the hosts on WIP said Park, but I think he was stating who he wanted to win it...

Hamels is out for the opener. Also Utley/Feliz will be ready so Donald is out.

boo! Park got the 5th spot. What a waste of money, they could have had Ohman instead.

I got a 6 game package for Christmas and they didnt know this game was a preseason game, Blahhhh!

Ive had season tickets to the eagles for 7 yrs and have not gone to one preseason game, they are awful.

Depends on how you define par. Park had a 2.53 ERA, giving up 22 baserunners in 21.2 innings, with a 25/2 K/BB ratio. Happ had a 3.97 ERA, allowed 31 baserunners in 22.2 innings, with a 15/8 ratio. I like Happ, but Park is pitching very very well, and deserved the spot.

I am at school 4 hours from Philly and we scrimmage Penn State on Sunday but I want to skip it and go to the game so bad. Went to a few ST games this year and a few playoff games last year but there is nothing like when it all gets started again. If anyone has a few to sell PM me.

Yea but why develop your future when you can squeeze one of Chan-Ho's last few years out right?

Lol, read Eaton's wiki...

2009

On February 27, 2009, Eaton was released by the Phillies.[23] Two days later, the Baltimore Orioles signed him to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.[24] In an interview with MLB.com after the Phillies released him, Eaton claimed he was in-part responsible for the Phillies' success in 2007 and 2008: "A lot of things went wrong, but a lot of things went right, too. I helped them get to the playoffs two years in a row, and obviously we won the World Series last year."[25] Philadelphia Inquirer columnist John Gonzalez opined this to be "revisionist history".[26]

Sure Adam, as was I, seeing as they are my team and I cheered for them we obviously won because of me.
