I believe he was a finalist for two jobs leading into this season too. Honestly I would love to see it. No manager with any kind of past success is going to want to come here and lose for 2 or 3 seasons. Whoever gets the job is most likely going to be a first time skipper. What the hell the Phillies aren't going to win next year anyways and if he can translate his work ethic/attitude to his players... I think it could work.
