They need a WR. Who better than the great Terrell Owens?

I agree with both of these things. I mean, I love DeSean and all signs point to him being an ass.

DeSean strikes me as being extremely cocky on the field, but off the field he would smoke some pot and be chill and play call of duty for hours.

Kolb, on the other hand, is one of those loud frat guys that annoy you at bars and gets all the women.

DeSean would be mad cool to hang out with for sure. But I've heard a lot of stories about him blowing off/being dickish to fans.

From the latest mock on walterfootball.com:

Congratulations to the Redskins, who are now a playoff contender with Donovan McNabb. And credit the Eagles, who worked valiantly to make sure that all three teams in their division are a threat to them. Great job, guys.

It sure does. Not Favre-wearing-purple wrong, but still pretty wrong.

And I don't know that I'm adding 5 or 6 wins to the Skins '10 record quite yet. Their line is still crappy and the WRs need to step it up a bit. I see McNabb helping but a lot more has to happen. Especially in the Beast right now.

I'm starting to get more excited about this team. I don't think we're going to contend this year (look at Green Bay with Rodgers), but if Kolb ends up as good as a lot of people expect him to be, this will be a really good team for a really long time. All the pieces on offense will basically be in place, and they are all very young. The defense needs a good bit of work but over the course of this draft and the next off-season, it should be reloaded.

Obviously there's still one very big question mark, but I'm excited.

I think calling this year a "Transition Year" sounds a little better then a "Rebuilding Year"

fwiw I think there is a difference...bc I dont think this is necessarily rebuilding, bc they have been putting pieces in place for this Transition for about 3 years now...

When 5 is running for his life all season and getting knocked on his ass bc of it, I doubt people will be calling this Redskins team a true threat.

Larry Johnson? Please.

I still like the Eisen quote about how the Skins are now the fav to win the 2006 NFC East, sums it up so well

If they actually sign TO it'll be even more fitting. No cap year + Dan Snyder = rofl.

2 things:

1. there should be an individual thread on this

2. Why does it seem that the football gods are not allowing McNabb to ever have a WR??? Just when philly had some young, playmaking targets...he gets shipped out to Washington???? wtf??? As a McNabb fan, this really disappoints me. Just wished we could see him play with a good crop of WRs for more then one ****ing season.

(Owens? one season and gone! Desean/Avant/Maclin? one season and gone!)

...now he has 2 kick returners to bomb it out to....not that theres anything wrong with that...actually, there is.

also, RIP Jason Campbell lol...that experiment lasted one too many seasons anyway, imo.

Just gonna throw it out there that McNabb had Desean as a teammate for 2 seasons, and Avant for 4.

But yeah, he sure is taking a downgrade at WR going to Washington.

Did McNabb make those WRs look good or did they make him look good?

I want to say the offensive system made them both look good

Campbell continues to be heavily underrated. He put up pretty decent numbers in ****ty offensive systems with mediocre players around him. He's not a championship guy, but he's a very reasonable starting quarterback, and would be an upgrade for a lot of teams.

Yeah, I don't know how good Campbell is, or could be, but he's never really been given a chance to succeed.

Campbell has been getting shafted his entire career imo, but he is still nothing more then an avg NFL starting QB...

And he's about to get shafted again when he gets shipped to Oakland

Until Owens and Jackson mcnabb did more with trash recievers than anyone ive seen. A couple years he made Chad Lewis a threat. Guys like Charles Johnson, Torrance small, James thrash, Todd pinkston. He took nothing but slop and a good defense to 3 nfc championship games. He will definitely make your receivers better overall but you'll want to kill him when he randomly throws balls straight into the ground or 4feet above the receivers head. He's much better at throwing deep than short.
