RB Eldra Buckley: 2007 UFA signed by the Chargers. Spent the last two years on their practice squad. Has no game experience. Beat out Lorenzo Booker because he is more versatile (read: Booker can't block).

WR Brandon Gibson: 2009 6th round draft pick from Washington State.

TE Tony Curtis: 2005 UFA signed by the Cowboys. Scored three touchdowns in 2007. As a free agent, signed with the Chiefs this offseason, then was released and signed with the Eagles on August 25th.

DE Jason Babin: 2004 1st round draft pick by the Texans. Traded to the Seahawks in 2007. Released in 2008, signed with the Chiefs. As a free agent, signed with the Eagles on August 4th.

LB Tracy White: 2003 UFA signed by the Seahawks. Journeyman special teams player with several teams.

LB Moise Fokou: 2009 7th round draft pick from Maryland. His first name is pronounced, "Moses." Last name is not pronounced "*** You" but that won't stop me from yelling that if he makes a tackle.

CB Dimitri Patterson: 2007 UFA signed by the Redskins. Bounced around a couple teams before signing with the Eagles on January 7.

Other Notes

Vick is eligible to come off the exempt list week 3. He is not allowed to practice until then. The Eagles will have to release someone to make room for him on the roster.

I can't believe Reggie Brown made the team. I don't think I've ever seen a team carry seven wide receivers.

The Eagles are trying to trade AJ Feeley so that there will be room for Vick. If they cannot work a trade, either Feeley or Reggie Brown will likely be released for Vick.

Darren Howard will likely spend a lot of time playing DT, which is why the team is only carrying 3 DT.

I'm happy that they found room for Gibson, really liked what I've seen of him so far. Pleased that they dumped Booker for sure. Very surprised that they gave up on Ikegwonu and Bryan Smith already, I don't see either of those guys getting through to the practice squad, but we can hope. But that shows the kind of depth we have on defense. Wish we could get a solid LB of some sort for Brown or Feeley, but honestly I don't see us getting much of anything considering everyone in the world knows we're trying to dump them. Maybe Miami will give us a 3rd rounder for Feeley again.

Wasn't it a 2nd rnd pick? Anyway that would be one of the most awesomest things ever in the history of the universe if the Dolphins gave us another pick for Feeley, but I don't think Parcells would let that happen.

For the most part I really liked the roster, knowing that there are some moves to be made.

I hate seeing Jack cut. I had high hopes for him, but he really didn't show much in the preseason. Maybe he'll sneak through to the practice squad. It's also pretty surprising Bryan Smith got cut. I hadn't really seen much from him, but I assume they drafted him in the third round because they liked him. I don't know. I thought Jaqua would be the one to go.

I was wondering what they were going to do with all those receivers. Keeping them all didn't really seem like an option. I expect someone to get traded, but they can all contribute.

FWIW, Vick is eligible to come off the exempt list at any time, he just can't play a game until Week 3 if he does. I expect him to be activated in a few days.

Good call. Although we also released Tony Curtis so I guess they wanna go with 2 tight ends? If they keep 7 receivers I think Andy's plan of copying the Pats and every college teams shotgun spread offense will come to fruition this season.

Not exactly thrilled with a 5th round rookie starting at safety. They really overestimated Demps since the job was his a month ago.

Congrats on being the black sheep of the NFC East! Hey can you do us a favor? If you actually happen to get to the SB this year, try to actually f'ing win it, K? Making sure your QB doesn't throw up on the possible game winning drive would be a start. Another thing, considering the East has won 11 SB out of 19 it's been in ain't bad considering you slackers account for 2 of those 7 losses. Go Eagles!!!!

I'm really pumped for this year. I'm trying to temper my expectations, but anything less than a Super Bowl victory is going to have me really disappointed.

I was so pumped for this year, then Bradley went down, Demps/Jones lost the starting safety job to a 5th round rookie, and the O-Line hasn't played together at all.

Now I am concerned, although the team is still full of offensive weapons. I'm hoping for the best.

Latest Dallas Cowpie screen fail

LOL @ Dallas screen. I've heard a lot of doom and gloom w/rt to the defense, but I'm not too concerned. Down the stretch, it was the number 2 unit in the league. I think it's still a Top 10 unit, even with the slight downgrade at MLB from last year. Safety is a questionmark for sure, but it was the weakspot on D last year. The big concern for me is no more JJ - . Hopefully McDermott learned all JJs tricks.
