It was a bad fumble. And a few passes high. But he managed a win. Defense looked bad on a lot of plays.

But we win. Dallas is obviously big next week

Hope Barnett is back next week. Need to get to Dak. This secondary is pretty, pretty, pretty bad.

That was nice. Beating Dallas is always sweet.

Better beat the Giants next week.
Not that they're going far with these WRs.
Would be amazing if they did though.
Wentz making it happen.

I would 100% not be shocked if they look like hot garbage against the Giants.

Still, that was encouraging.

Looked like hot garbage, still won.

Fresh out of football players, though.

Wentz and Dougie GOATing it up with the practice squad and sneaking into the playoffs wasn't how I saw this season going back in September, but here we are

pick em at home against Seattle?

If this doesn’t get the clapper fired, I don’t know what will. There is 0 reason this team should have won the division. No jeffery/agholor/Jackson/Ertz/sanders/Howard/Johnson/brooks/mills/Darby and they still ****ing won.

Wentz is just amazing, I’m so happy he’s our QB for hopefully the next 10+ years.

I was hoping if the eagles lost the Cowboys would do just well enough to keep Princeton Chilly.

Seattle was -2 for the first meeting. Would expect -3.5 this time around since that was a month ago meaning 28 more starters have died.

they put up 37ppg in their wins.

if only the refs tried a little harder in that jets game...

maybe we should start a hashtag to bring garrett to philly and jerry will get all hot and bothered by it and he'll sign him to a 15 year contract.

There are universes where the Eagles play home v. SEA, @GB, home v. MIN... Obamanotbad.jpg
After winning the Super Bowl and winning the Beast with this current team it all feels like gravy anyway. Let's keep the train rollin'

A lot of people were hoping the Eagles were going to move up a few picks to draft CeeDee Lamb. It turns out they didn't move up and the stinkin' cowgirls drafted Lamb. I am now hoping that whoever the Eagles pick with the 21st overall pick is as good or better than CeeDee Lamb.

I've come around on it as well once I looked soberly and honestly at Carson and the QB situation. It seems that Howie is acknowledging that the QB2 on this team has greater importance than usual, and with the bonus that (I'm guessing) they plan on regularly incorporating him into the offense it was worth grabbing a QB in the 2nd round.

I have no idea what's going on. Gadget guy/backup QB in the second seems weird but I only follow the draft casually since it's always who the hell knows.

Sure they might use Hurts in certain packages but this is in no way is a gadget pick. Given the injury history of Wentz, now the team has a legit #2 who can come in and keep the game moving. No team more than the Eagles should realize how important a backup QB is.

Hurts in the 2nd is just a gigantic waste of resources. There are multiple holes on this team in starting roles, investing that high of a pick in someone that you hope never sees the field is just bad.

You can sign veteran backups for QB on a year to year basis, we've been doing that since forever, it works.

Hope is the problem with your position. Management is looking at the reality of the situation. Dating back to college Wentz has not been able to stay healthy.

It does seem that with a really good oline, a rising star running back, two excellent tight ends, and a receiving corps that has DJax returning, a first-round pick and now Goodwin, just about anybody could line up at QB and lead the team.

My thought with Hurts is that they saw someone who can be a top 20 qb with a little time and refinement, and that his potential was too good to pass up. If they saw a potential Jacoby Brissett or Case Keenum, the pick makes no sense.

Given that Wentz hasn't finished any of the last three seasons, the Eagles need someone other than a year-to-year backup. They need a QB1 caliber guy, because the likelihood is that Wentz will get hurt, and when that opportunity presents itself the team would rather have a guy like Hurts than an aging Josh McCown type or overpay for prior starters like Newton or Winston.
