you're delusional. he's got a 20MM option and no guarantee that he will sign an extension, so the birds would have to roll the dice and hope Foles plays ball with whatever team they could find to trade him to, because no team would trade for him without knowing if he would sign an extension. if they couldn't trade him, they have a 20MM backup and they're over the cap by like 9MM.

seems like a fairly obvious move to not sign him and a gigantic risk to keep him to try and get a 3rd round pick, which is optimistic in my opinion - they got the 2nd round pick offer because there were 2 years effectively left on the contract, now there is 1.

It's also that now the door is open for him possibly heading to the Giants or Redskins. If you think he sucks you probably like it. I'd rather ship him out of conference.

Eh. Yes, they could have gotten better than a 3rd most likely, but that’s also risking nobody taking him and ending up with an extra $20mil on the cap.

As a whole, I think it's fine for the caliber of QB Wentz is if he even comes close to his 2017 form.

offensive game plan in 1st half was negligence. v concerning. each play designed to gain no more than a handful of yards
