Thoughts on today's game? I feel overly confident but then I look at the line (only -1.5) and it reels me back in. The Texans have had a solid year but I feel that this is a horrible spot for them.

It'll be super frustrating if blowing that fumble dead comes back to haunt us. Hopefully second half goes a bit better than the first.

Blowing the play dead didn't cost them anything.

Not jumping on the ball did. Plays like that get reversed all the time. Jump on the ball to be safe

So, but no, plays like that have happened several times since that rule was created. Defenders are specifically taught to jump on the ball in situations like that.
