This team is just decimated by injuries right now.

Not sure if this is related, but special teams has been GARBAGE this year. The offense has to go the length of the field every drive. Nothing but missed blocks and penalties.

I’m torn on this. Yes, it’s better than a 1 for Cooper but you can’t compare it to an awful trade. If Tate resigns for a reasonable price, I like it, but I hate giving up a 3rd for a 30 y/o who may just walk away after this year. Especially when there were greater concerns on the roster than WR.

Factoring in the comp pick, the trade is pretty close to value neutral, I think. But it definitely makes the team better right now. Eagles are obv a ways off from the Rams/Saints, but with the right breaks and players returning from injury, the team still has some super bowl equity. The trade plays to win now, but doesn't really mortgage the future in any meaningful way. I like it.

Even with the top 3 CBs out, no excuse to lose at home to a team like the Cowboys. Garbage run D vs a shell of an O-Line. I can't count the number of critical 3rd or 4th and longs the defense has given up this season, and the offense keeps sucking first half. Feels like they miss Reich and DeFellipo.

yes to all that. An utterly disappointing and unnecessary loss. Not the first, too. This team is truly an 8-8 team at the moment. Which is so frustrating, when you tink about their potential, and when you think about HIS potential. Wentz is so good. This team is so mediocre right now.

Believe it or not...the Eagles still have a chance here. If they can win this game today against the Giants, they are just one game behind the Redskins. This will be the first win in a 4 game winning streak. Or else the season is over and no one cares.

5 of 6 gets it done most of the time especially if we sweep the 4 division games
the problem is the 2 non-division games are the rams and texans
friggin 1st place schedule man

I saw a stat on one of the TV broadcasts that someone's model gives the Eagles a 14% chance of still winning the division. That just has to be too high.

Well, I am not a particularly well-informed fan, but I watched Eagles v Dallas, Eagles v Saints, and Dallas v Saints games in the past few weeks, and I just can't bring myself to believe that there is anything more than a tiny sliver of hope. ( Living and dying with the Eagles since 1975. )

you do realize that if the Eagles beat Dallas this week they are in 1st place, right?

granted, Birds still have a much harder schedule with the Rams/Texans compared to Colts/Bucs for Dallas, but they control their own destiny if they win this week

But if (optimistically, and if I did the math correctly) they are 40% to beat Dallas, 30% to beat the Rams, 40% to beat the Titans, and 60% to beat the Skins, that looks like less than a 3% chance of winning out.

Feels like the offensive creativity left with Reich and Flipp.

Disappointed in some of the decisions by Doug this game. Surprised it is a close game with these CBs. Calls have obviously hosed the birds, obvious opening fumble, obvious Goedert touchdown negated was junk. Eagles scored but it shortened the game.

Well that makes things a little more interesting at least. This was a game that pretty much everyone penciled in as a loss for us. Still obviously need some seriously help but at least it makes one more week exciting. Hope the Cowboys implode.
