Re: Philadelphia Eagles

Trotter making some plays tonight. He showed good lateral movement on the last play of the 3rd quarter - I was scared when Bradshaw cut to the outside, but Trotter got to him.

He leads the team with 8 tackles (through 3 quarters).

This game is all over the place.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles

Wow if Cole gets suspended for that...

What is it with Cole and the Giants? Isn't he the one that kicked the guy in the nuts at the end of regulation in the Plaxico OT game?

Agree but he's gotta catch that interception early in the game.

Agree that it's stupid of Cole to get suspended, but if it's only one game that won't be too big a deal (we should beat the niners without him).

Also, I really <3 how explosive this team is. I don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but IF we should make the playoffs and find ourselves playing an elite team on the road (Minny/NO) I feel like we have enough big play ability that we always have a "puncher's chance" if you will.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles

I doubt he gets suspended, seems pretty excessive.

Did that punt return by Desean remind you of a punt return by anyone else? As he was running down the sideline I couldnt help but think about that Westbrook return.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles

Current situation is that the Eagles clinch a playoff spot with a win or Giants loss. Just one will do, magic number is one.

Eagles clinch the division with a win in Dallas week 17.

Eagles clinch early by picking up an additional game on Dallas, so either going 2-0 with a Dallas loss, or 1-1 with 2 Dallas losses.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles

I know in the gameday thread everyone was loling at the Giants D, but the last TD drive by the Eagles was one of the best drives I have seen all season. Great scheming and execution throughout the whole drive; ending with the Eagles finally giving Weaver a goalline touch instead of trying dumb ****.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles

wowowowow what a game - stating the obvious here, but what an offenesive performance, and such a crappy defensive performance. desean is sooooo ridiculous, he's the fastest player in the nfl ainec. i really was hoping for the D to come together down the stretch, which i guess is still possible, but seems unlikely now. pass rush was non-existent, nobody could tackle, blown assignments - bizarre.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles

Great game last night. I was worried when I saw Trotter starting, but he actually did pretty well other than dropping the int and he was very active. Hopefully Jordan will be back to 100% next week, though.

DeSean is just amazing. Have we locked him up with a good contract yet? I can't remember.

Some interesting plays with both McNabb and Vick on the field at the same time. Loved the weird play where they hiked it to Vick, reversed to somebody (?), who pitched back to McNabb to pass it. Too bad nobody was open deep. Not as much of a fan of the one where they had McNabb block a defensive end while Vick passed, though.

We weren't able to get much pressure on Eli, which is disappointing... he's the type of guy where if you hit him a few times early he'll have a ****ty game instead of going off like he did.

Maclin expected to miss a couple weeks. If Curtis can't go next week they'll probably have to sign someone for depth.

Jeremy Maclin, WR PHI
News: Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin was carted to the locker room in the first half of Week 14 against the Giants after suffering a setback with the foot injury that had him on the injury report coming into the game. He wasn't targeted before leaving the game and had a towel draped over his head as he was carted off the field. Eagles coach Andy Reid said after the game that Maclin tore the plantar fascia tissue along the bottom of his left foot.
FWIW, but I think its is just sportsline's opinion...so it may not be true.

He made a couple nice plays in the backfield, dont get too excited he is a huge liabity when he is on the field. So is Sean Jones for that matter, the man needs farts in his face after that performance last night. Ole!!!!

There is something very similar with these 2 photos/plays.

A westbrookesque signature play...

Re: Philadelphia Eagles

I figured as much...

Quote:
COLE AWAITS FINE

An NFL spokesman said fines are likely but suspensions are not, for the scrum that broke out after Eli Manning's fumble near the end of regulation Sunday. If suspensions are issued, the teams would find out about them today; fines are usually not divulged until later in the week.
