Blew out an NFC East rival and moved into first and still doesn't feel super satisfying. Tons of mistakes on offense still and sloppy.

D looks legit pretty good though (although the Giants obv were the Bad News Bears tonight).

Seems like with how bad the division is sans Romo, we're in with a legit chance. D looks like a legit unit and Chip has to figure out the offense eventually (right?)

I keep hearing people say the Eagles D isn't good and that the other team just played ****ty. At what point are they good when literally every team they've played has looked ****ty against them???

Thought that everything about the performance was great except Bradford. He was pretty awful. Still, have to give him time and hope he can turn it around.

Defense is definitely legit. Offensively not so much, but it was encouraging that they were able to run the ball effectively against a stout Giants run defense. I also like the emphasis on 2 TE sets over the last few games - hopefully they stick with it.

Despite the win I still can't help but feel discouraged about the overall state of the team, particularly Bradford. Unless he improves significantly we are going to be one and done in the playoffs if we're fortunate enough to even get there.

I'll have to re-watch, since everyone thought the run game was good - probably just a few bad ones sticking out to me. The stats look good but while watching it still seemed like there were guys getting penetration and the big runs were often the backs making something happen, hopefully I'm wrong. The Giants are good against the run, though.

I would never have thought with Kiko, Kendricks and Ryans out the defense could still function. Billy D deserves some credit.

With anything resembling competent QB play, they put up 40+. FOUR endzone interceptions this year, when nobody else in the league has more than 1. Pretty, pretty bad.

Really a thrill to watch this defense right now, just a sensational performance these past 2 weeks.

Bradford on the other hand. He brings nothing value adding to the table. He makes zero plays, I feel like any success he has is due to the system getting the primary receiver open. Just a big fat ball of meh.

lets not forget that before these 6 games Bradford's played, his last meaningful football activity was on October 20 2013. He easily could still be shaking rust off for the rest of the season.

he's completing 63% of passes, which is above his career 59% comp %, and it's obvious that he still has room to settle down (plus all those drops).

Looking at snap counts, Rowe with 1 snap on defense(?), Biggers with 23 and Maragos with 49. A little surprising.

Hicks has been on the field a ton last few games - 99% of snaps last night. The next closest LB was Barwin at 80% of defensive snaps. So hard to believe he's a 3rd round rookie. So many people blasted that pick.

Unfortunately neither him or the Eagles have time. It's not as if this guy just came out of college. He has 55 NFL starts and is in the last year of his contract. It's now or never. The Eagles are 10 games away from having one QB on their roster, Sanchez. And if this type of play continues, I'd like to think they wont bring him back. That being said, they cant be wrong again. The money over the next few years is going to get extremely tight. Thurmond, Carroll, Curry, Alonso, Logan, Jenkins and Cox are all free agents over that time.

You're probably right that most of the criticism was need-based. Rappaport reported that one of his nfl exec sources called it a "stupid pick" and a lot of sites projected him as a 4th -5th rounder. SB nation had him like the 200th best player in the draft. Kiper (and others) said it was a little early to take him, but didn't hate the pick. Chip made it sound like they had a 2nd roundish grade on Hicks, that he was far above anyone else left.
