not ready to bail on chip yet but he's made some critical mistakes the last couple of years and is paying for it now. he managed to dig himself quite a hole entirely by his own doing and is gonna have to find a way out of it.
1. "Inconsistent" would be a better word. He's had 4 quarters of great play this season, but the rest have been pretty bad. I mostly blame the O-line for not giving him enough time this last game and also Chip's 1st half gameplan, but Bradford does have some blame too.
2. No way that this is this true. Jordan Matthews is a legit #1 WR in my eyes. Any of his recent down games can be blamed on the entire offense struggling as a whole.
3. I entirely agree with the 3rd bolded statement. Not drafting a single O-lineman is completely on Chip, now he has to somehow come up with a way to work around that weakness and hopefully fix it next offseason with new personnel.
I blame the last loss on Chip not throwing downfield/attacking Wash's weak secondary in the 1st half. If they had run that game plan the entire 4 quarters, the outcome probably would have been different. Bradford has a beautiful deep ball, btw.
I'm not giving up on them yet, but I understand why people are flipping out. Fact is, we're still only 1 gb in a pretty weak division until Romo/Dez come back. They need to somehow find a way to go 2-1 in the next 3 before the BYE, then they head to Dallas week 9. If they keep having only 1 good half of football each week, it will be a long season for us all.
