+1, especially looking back @ the play-by-play.
3rd and 9 at WAS 49 (Shotgun) J.Campbell pass short left to D.Thomas to PHI 39 for 12 yards (Q.Demps).
iirc, they ran a screen on this play, which 2 of the lineman sniffed out a little late, but pursued well. We also had a corner out to that side that funneled the play back to the middle, but somehow it gets 12 yards.
3rd and 2 at PHI 31 J.Campbell pass deep right to M.Kelly ran ob at PHI 4 for 27 yards.
Really a great throw by Campbell, one I don't ever recall him being able to make. He prob connects on that deep fade, with good coverage, less than 25% of the time.
Those two lead to the second Skins TD. The Eagles then had 3 good defensive possessions - a 3 & out, and 2 asante picks.
The first possession of the half for the Skins was also super frustrating:
3rd and 10 at WAS 20 (Shotgun) J.Campbell pass short right to F.Davis pushed ob at WAS 49 for 29 yards (T.White).
Just horrible tacking on this play, and poor coverage - these types of plays are where the backup LBs are hurting the team.
3rd and 7 at PHI 48 (Shotgun) J.Campbell pass deep left to D.Thomas to PHI 13 for 35 yards (S.Brown).
The most frustrating play of the game, every pass rusher beats his man and somehow Campbell gets away and floats a throw over Sheldon. Ugh.
3rd and 7 at PHI 10 (Shotgun) J.Campbell pass short right to F.Davis for 10 yards, TOUCHDOWN.
Again, somehow Campbell eludes a sack, and throws to Davis when Joe Mays slides off him in pursuit of Campbell. Again, these types of plays are where the backup LBs are hurting the team.
Would like to see a goalline stand sometime, which was the specialty of the 2008 Eagles. Regardless of the bizarro 3rd down conversions above, the team needs to do a better job getting stops in the RZ and holding teams to FGs.
