yeah while that wasn't fun to watch, I had always mentally prepared for a loss on this one, just not that laughable of one

the worst part of today was watching 10 hrs of ****ty football with a mix of eagles, vikings, and lions fans with one redskin fan and one colts fan

that was a morose group of angry drunks lol

never again

I don't think we are waving anything off, what happened today was a lot of stuff we already knew. The secondary is terrible and they faced one of the best passing offense in the league. I also think a lot of us aren't panicking because it was one game. One loss is exactly that, a single loss. Philly is still tied for 1st in the East with Dallas and basically controls their own destiny with two games against Dallas. This wasn't the end of the world. This was their 10th game and it was the first one where we couldn't say that it came down to one play.

Sanchez played ok. He made some Sanchize-esque plays late but the game was out of hand and he was probably trying to do too much at that point, and every time somebody says "lol Sanchez sucks" I remind them how terrible Foles has looked this year. It's not like they went from Rodgers to Sanchez. I also don't see how he played *that* bad. Seemed like every other snap he had pressure immediately from somebody coming in untouched.

Shady needs to stop trying to hit a home run every time he gets the ball. Look at Sproles. He gets the ball, finds the hole and explodes. Shady just keeps looking for a hole that isn't there to cut into. He needs to realize he's not going to juke the entire defense and run for a TD every play. Especially on that field today. He would get a run, try to juke and slip. Next play; gets ball, cuts, slip again. Like, holy **** dude. The field seems pretty slippery. Maybe trying to cut 46 times per run isn't going to work. Sproles is almost averaging double Shady's average (6.6 to 3.7). There's a reason for that and it's not the blocking or the playcalling.

I don't think anybody's expectation ITT were super high going into the season. I think a lot of us picked them to win the division but mostly by default as nobody else looked decent. Even if they make it, it looks like they will have to play three of Ari, SF, Sea, GB, Det, Dal and [NFC South winner] just to make the Super Bowl. I'm not saying it's impossible but I'm not exactly expecting it to happen. The defense is bad and even as great as the offense has played, if they have to put up 30+ PPG just to compete, it won't end well in the playoffs.

Going into Green Bay is a lot like going into Denver or the last few years in Seattle. You really can't overreact to getting blown out. Let's face it, this team was never at that elite level even at their peak and if you're not in that upper echelon of teams, you're liable to get blown out in a game like this if your defense can't get any stops or create a turnover. GB's offense was clicking so smoothly that Sanchez had to be perfect just to keep us in it, and that's a tough situation to be in, especially when you're facing tons of pressure on every snap.

It's an ugly loss, yes, but there's no use overanalyzing what happened. Green Bay took it to us early and we never recovered. Those losses do happen in the NFL, to good teams even. We aren't anywhere close to as bad as we showed last night and the rest of the season should prove that. Or they'll prove that the team is a bunch of frauds, Who knows, the NFL is weird.

In 2012, the 49ers lost 42-13 in Seattle, it was week 16. They then went to the Super Bowl. This **** happens, even to good teams. GB's offense right now is really clicking, peaking even (holy **** us all if they haven't peaked yet) and I haven't seen their defense look better all year. This was Sanchize's 1st start on the road with the team, and he didn't play at all last year. It really isn't that big of a deal.

Can't lose this game. Ten is awful and is coming off a short week and has to travel. Ground game had better get going too. Ten is bad at run D. Bell had over 200 yes last week against them.

Seems like Sanchez should be keeping the ball on more of these read options.

2 days - Lesgooooooooooo!

The short week should mean the Dallas D wears down faster from the tempo, but at the same time the Eagles D will soften faster too. Hopefully sports science is actually a thing that makes a difference! It seems like the coaching edge and Chip's legendary efficiency should matter more on a short week.

Eagles' D/STs have 10 return TDs, insane. It makes sense that when you aggressively pursue FA STers and practice more ST reps than everyone else (and have Dave "Crazy Eyes" Fipp) good things happen.

Chip, on playing on Thanksgiving: “We don’t really read much into it or wax nostalgic. It’s not like we’re going to have a cornucopia and turkey on the sideline. We’re just going to go play football.”

wouldn't mind giving up like a 3rd rounder for RG3 next year. Just think he needs to get out of washington. Doubt Snyder would trade him to Chip tho

Eagles get rolled by Dallas. I love the Eagles, but they are so overrated it's a joke.

Boo.

Both teams have benefited from a weak schedule (28th and 31st most difficult on inpredictable). DVOA and inpredictable have Eagles slightly ahead. Losing wouldn't be a surprise (maybe even likely on the road) but I think there is a low probability of "getting rolled." If either offense sputters it could get out of hand but I don't think that's likely. I'm not sure what would lead you to believe Dallas is significantly better than the Eagles - this isn't GB at Lambeau. They are .500 at home.

It did occur to me that Dallas just having a bye could help them with the short week, hopefully not too much.

RG3 is broken, has bad technique, can't find four open receivers on a single play, and can't say the right thing in front of the camera or the locker room. he has no clue about being a QB in the NFL, he's just interested in marketing the current shadow of his past potential. if he had ANY desire to be a top tier QB he wouldn't allow himself to be put in the unflattering spotlight he now occupies.

how would adding him to the eagles benefit the team in any way? chip doesn't need a running QB, he just needs a QB that makes the right decisions and executes at a high level with accuracy.

'culture beats scheme every time'

edit to say i could buy in to the eagles trading a 6th round pick for RGIII only to cement the fact that Washington would have given up three 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder for a 6th rounder.

First time posting in this thread b/c I am a Cowboys fan. So **** all you mother****ers.

But I am a Oregon Ducks fan, and I love Chip Kelly. What are the chances eagles can some how get Mariota??

Would be pretty sick to get him and chip back together. Hate the Eagles so much, but as a football fan would love to see it.

**** off you mother****er cowboy fan....
....welcome duck fan.

there's no chance that philly gets MM. it would be a horrible decision to make a trade similar to the RGIII trade to get him (and that's the precedent). the risk simply outweighs the reward by orders of magnitude....and that's coming from someone that thinks that MM would be a fantastic addition to almost any team.

i just look at it as buying low on an asset. You wouldn't be giving up a 1st round pick or signing him to some $100 million dollar contract where you pot commit yourself for a couple years. Belichick is great at this. Sometimes it works great (Randy Moss, Wes Welker) sometimes not (Albert Hansworth, Chad Ochocinco) but thats why you buy low. If it doesn't then just cut him. as long as he isn't derrick rose broken i think he'd be great here. Foles/Sanchez are hot garbage and Chip got Foles to 27/2 last year and so far Sanchez's ANY/A has jumped from 4.71 in NY to 6.53 here. I'd like to see what a QB with some talent can do and he clearly is more comfortable doing what Chip wants(and Briles at Baylor) of tempo+packaged plays than Gruden's west coast system.

Ehh. I don't believe in them. I don't think they can play well against good teams. They couldn't move the ball vs the 49ers, the defense and special teams made that game look a lot closer than it was. They pulled out a win at the Colts and got crushed by Green Bay.

Dallas is much better than they used to be. Romo has been a choke forever, but it seems like he's actually got some confidence and doesn't screw up as much. Their defense is way better than I thought they would be.

Eagles may win, but the likelihood of one team being blown out is much higher for the Eagles. Sanchez just isn't very good and McCoy is just unpredictable.

Let's see.

i'd be very surprised if mccoy struggled in this one. i also think murray won't put up normal murray numbers since the eagles can contain him. i think they're gonna force at least one fumble from him
