Yeah, that pick seems odd. I don't know enough to judge the player specifically, but going WR in back to back rounds is kinda ehhhhhh.

Huff is a fantastic chip fit. Blocks like a mother****er and knows how the offense works. He's 2nd round value when inserted into chips offense.

So the Eagles offense goes from having DeSean last year to Maclin, Sproles, Matthews, and Huff this year... I'm liking this.

Soooo, he had to game plan against Lee for two or three years while in college, yet he did not think enough of him to draft him, and your mad? What have you seen that they haven't?

Chip tried to recruit him out of high school and after facing him in Oregon said that he may be the best reciever he has ever coached against. It's safe to say he liked him a lot. The reason he passed probably had more to do with injury concerns more than anything else.

I'm relatively pleased with how the draft has gone thus far. After the initial shock of them selecting a player I've never heard of I've come around after doing a little research, plus we got an extra pick out of it. Really like the Matthews pick too. I wouldn't be shocked to see him as the #2 reciever later on in the year. Tremendously talented athlete - big, fast, with excellent college production and great character. Huff I'm not quite as sold on, especially since it looks a lot like a homer pick from Chip, but he doesn't seem like a significant reach either and he brings a unique skillset that could present mismatches in the slot and underneath.

Reading that Huff will be an immediate impact player on special teams, at least.

I haven't watched any tape, but it's important to note that WRs who can block well (apparently, Huff) are worth more to the Eagles than they are to other teams who don't run the football as often.

I'm happy with the draft so far. The trading we have been doing has been executed pretty well. My favorite pick so far is Matthews.

I don't give a [censored] how hard he hits. He's a kicker, he better be able to kick.

The more I think about it, those vids are actually making me angry.

Kickers are just too valueable to let them make hits like that on a continual basis. If he continues doing that he's going to get hurt. Then who kicks? Remember Bartrum kicking after Akers injured himself against the Raiders?

Heck the Chargers were willing to let Rolf Benirschke kick with a colostomy bag, he was basically told to never even attempt a tackle. Just kick and walk to the sideline.

Kickers going out to make hits like that is like your star scorer in hockey trying to be an enforcer. (actually I don't watch much hockey so I hope I didn't just say something incredibly wrong, lol)

I'm sure in the pros they basically tell kickers to get out of the way unless it's to stop a td. In college it's different, there are probably 3 kickers on the roster and they are only there for a few years.

I know lolsample size, but he kicked it to the 2 once, and barely kicked it beyond the 10 in the other 2 vids. NFL returners/blockers would jack him up anyway.

Not impressed.

So ICYMI, Lane Johnson tweeted a picture of a 17k bill at a rookie dinner from Del Frisco's last week, which was fun to read, but engendered some negative reactions amongst the media.

Enter Evan Mathis.

Last night, he tweets this picture, accompanied by the words "teaching rookies a lesson":

While the media jumped all over it, Mathis spent the night retweeting negative reactions on twitter.

@EvanMathis69 Unfavorite my tweet u **** bag, I hope crawford blows your knee out
Quote:
Nate Copsey @NotNateCopsey · 10h
@EvanMathis69 You're a real ****er, the NFL is worse cuz of you. Make sure to say that when your mandated apology is issued by your PR group
Obviously, the whole thing was completely made up.

Quote:
Eagles center, Jason Kelce, joined the WIP Morning Show on Friday and spilled the beans that Mathis’ tweet was a joke.
“This was a complete hoax [laughing] that was designed by Evan Mathis to mislead the media across the nation,” Kelce said on Friday morning. “Apparently, it did its job. He spent all day making sure the priceswere right, making sure everything looked good.”
And if you look back at the bill, the first letter of each item spells ROCK-PAPER-SCISSORS-ROSHAMBO.

A+ work.
