Re: Philadelphia Eagles - Are You Experienced?

Well, he's not totally off. Harris has been out with injury for the last two games. Jackson didn't play yesterday for some reason, which confuses me because I thought he played fairly well in the first two games. Watkins is going to struggle in the preseason for obvious reasons.

That said, last night was scary. I'm just glad Vick is okay.

Edit: Eskin saying Harris is done. Has a herniated disc and will have surgergy next week.

Ugh.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles - Are You Experienced?

ya, not so optimistic about the o-line anymore

RT is just a total **** show right now, our best bet is probably getting runyan out of retirement

mebbe we can flip joselio hanson for someone? ugh, I'm sick of celek being sacrificed because he has to stay in and block the whole game

Re: Philadelphia Eagles - Are You Experienced?

I think they have to trade Hanson at this point and use the newfound cap space to either bring in a veteran RT / LB or use it towards getting Vick / DeSean extended. There's no reason why our dime cornerback should be making that much money with the holes we have elsewhere on this team.

On another note, has anybody been impressed with Coleman as much as I have? Even without Allen's injury issues I think he's earned the starting job at FS.

soo Herremans to RT and Evan Mathis to left guard. Also looks like Kelce is gonna start at center. I hope Vick can make it past September.

Re: Philadelphia Eagles - Are You Experienced?

Can't they just get the extension done but starting it next year, keeping his current cap figure?

don't think so, the contract actually lowers the cap hit for Vick from $16M to $13M. There is also no way he plays year 6 (20Mill) so he averages $14M/year if he plays all 5 years. They could also cut him in a couple years without much of a hit. Seems like a smart contract.

edit: gonso posted details here

seriously, LOL @ all the ppl in other threads that were balking at the 100M figure - the eagles are pretty much the best team at financial management

Final cuts coming today. I haven't had this much interest in the final 53 man roster in some time.

Te'o-Nesheim cut, he was a 3rd round pick last year. Eagles haven't had a 3rd round pick amount to anything since Westbrook.

Surprised they cut Higgins, Hall and Sinorice Moss. Thought they'd keep one of them for the return game.

Bryan Smith was just a horrible selection, he was way too small to be a pro DE.

Then again, Te'O's physical skills are really limited as well. Eh, both really bad picks.

Great start to the season. O-Line seemed to come together as the game went on.

Need to learn to stop the run somehow tho
