I think i like aminu over johnson too, either way, we need to get Turner, we have enough role type players, we need a star player we can build a team around.

Cousins is tough to project, i think he'll either be an all star or a total bust

I like aminu as well, time will tell with these guys, should be an interesting draft now that we are involved, lol.

I agree with your assessment of Cousins being a boom or bust pick, thats why I wouldnt be happy if they took him. We need more of a sure thing.

Maybe its bc I watch a lot of Big East basketball, but Wes Johnson always caught my eye. To me he was always the best player on the court for the Orange, the most complete in all facets of the game.

Pretty excited to see how it plays out though.

This team needs to RUN, RUN and RUN SOME MORE. Park Brand on the bench and get me a coach that will let the young bucks run. Goddamit.

Well yea, of course he could get fired in 3 years, this is the NBA were talking about, not to mention this team is wretched atm.

What is it that you dont like about him?

Why cant Collins "park" Brand on the bench, why does it have to be someone else? It doesnt matter anyway bc they arent going to "park" Brand on the bench.

I dont think Avery Johnson was interested in the job, so Collins was the next best choice, and a pretty safe on at that.

Its very clearly a huge upgrade of what we had. I think youre going to be in the minority in hating the signing.

You could get Phil Jackson and the ceiling for this team next 3 years is basically what happened to Atlanta this year.

I don't think this team is as bad as people make it out to be, we made the playoffs 2 straight years before last year with a very similar team. Then Eddie Jordan came in and tried to install this offense that didnt fit at all with this team so we played way below our potential last year.

Now we have the number #2 pick, a big expiring contract in Dalembert that we could prob get something decent for. And a bunch of young players with potential who can hopefully reach that potential with a decent coach.

Im sorry but without Andre Miller this team is not similar at all. He is a very good facilitator and was able to squeeze everything he could out of his teammates. Im not saying he is the only reason they made the playoffs, but he is pretty much the reason they made the playoffs.

We do have a bunch of young players with potential, but most of them project to be solid role players. There arent many high ceiling guys on the team, excluding Jrue Holliday IMO.

Iggy has got to go imo, we need to shed salary.

I think it had much more to do with adding Eddie Jordan than losing Andre Miller for why we sucked.

Eddie Jordan was awful and he held this team back rather than help them improve, I'll give you that. But they most certainly were not going to be the same the following season with Miller leaving.

We went from 41 wins to 27, thats not mostly because of a rotten coach.

Me too. Good SToll quotes are like perfectly aged French wines. Or multi-car pileups on the interstate, I'm not sure which.

I'm not thrilled with the Collins signing, but it's fine. It's not an awesome hire but I'm not sure what was available that would have been. With not horrible coaching, this team should be a good bit better, and the 2nd pick definitely helps in the rebuilding effort. Obviously a sign and trade for LBJ would be the nuts. Gogogogo .
