If the Sixers end the season with the worst record and win the draft lottery, that would be great...But don't forget as long as the Pelicans don't land in the top 5 of the draft the Sixers get their pick as well. The Sixers have a chance to put together a team that will compete in 2 to 3 years for the next decade if they play their cards right.... Opening night 2014 the roster could possibly be:

PG - Michael Carter Williams
SG - Evan Turner (If the Sixers pick up the option)
SF - Andrew Wiggins (2014 first pick overall)
PF - Mitch McGary (2014 Pelicans Pick)
C - Nerlens Noel

The Sixers will also have a lot of money to spend in free agency. So maybe they don't pick up Turner's option and go that route.

That list of possible starters makes me feel so excited for the years ahead!

The only one I'm not sure about is Evan Turner. He's not really a PG or a SF or a 2 guard... He will have to find his niche and be consistent to avoid getting traded, don't you think?

Definitely, like the previous poster said, there is a good chance that they don't pick up his option. The Sixers will also have a lot of money to spend and next year's off-season is a huge year for free agency....

I know the Sixers are going to be pretty bad this year and will most likely be in line to get Wiggins in the draft when its all said and done. But the Heat sitting Wade in the second game of the season is a slap in the face.... I hope the Sixers pull this one out.

On a side note I really hate Wade... I lost all respect for him two years ago when the Heat beat the Sixers in the first round... There were 10 seconds left in game 5 and the Heat were burying the Sixers and about to end the series... The Heat inbound the ball and everyone starts shaking hands, talking, etc... Dwayne Wade gets the ball runs all the way down court with no one attempting to stick him and stuffs it. From that point on I have only wished bad things upon him.

He was the Grizzlies first round pick last year and we got him for a future 2nd round pick this summer.

In one game MCW made everyone forget about Jrue... That has to be one of the best debuts for a rookie PG in NBA history.

I forget who they play Friday but I'm sure it's going to be a huge let down game and a blowout.

winning your first game against the reigning nba champs is pretty much the perfect way to set up a #1 overall draft pick achieving season of futility imo
