Officiating was bad (do they not call a walk anymore in the NBA). Anyway, that was simply a veteran team showing the young guys how its done. Hopefully they learn something from that game.

- Sixers play out 2012.....win a round and play a tough 6 game series with Chi (more likely) or Mia (less likely)

- Howard plays out 2012 in ORL

- Amnesty Brand ($18M in 2012-2013) and decline Nocioni's team option ($7.5M).

- Sign Howard.

Sixer fans, greetings:

i just noticed that your team is like the 3rd or 4th best in the league right now. that comes as a complete shock, you guys used to be below average. how you doing it with no true stars? defense? perfect chemistry? coaching?

who's your 3 best players since i'm kinda clueless on that?

how far you predicting you go in the playoffs, semifinals?, possibly championship series?

bulls and heat will be tough

offense was horrendous tonight. collins go out-coached by VDN... which i didn't think was possible.

One thing I always liked when Larry Brown was here is the Sixers always got a good shot coming out of a timeout. Doug Collins.....not so much.

Evan turner 12 minutes last night? While replacement player Jodie Meeks plays double such a joke.

Paul made a really tough shot, not much you can do about that.

The final play call was unbelievably bad. Pretty frustrating loss.

this is not a good team. doug was terrible with the rotation tonight again (they go to zone...bring in guys who shoot instead of letting evan turner waste space) and the team had 0 idea how to run an offense in the 2nd half and they just jacked them up from everywhere, and the few times we got an open shot they didn't go down so when we got open shots later in the game, guys like turner and holiday didnt take them and instead overpassed. I don't know if this team is going to recover (yeah they'll win in Minnesota, probably lose one of the next 2 though and go back to being a 500 team). The mavs just put a blueprint out as to how to slow us down.

This team can't make a freakin basket inside 1 minute to go. It's extremely frustrating.

I used to think they were one good big man away from being a legit title contender. Now it appears they are a big man and a scorer/finisher short of being truly legit.

they need to make a trade for something. Guy on RealGM (sixerfan1976) says they are quietly shopping Turner and Nocioni's expiring to get a scorer. Gonna be little harder since no one wants to give up picks this year. Draft is deep as hell with talent.

Well, if they would want to move Turner, love this trade (from Bill Simmons' latest column):

Quote:
a three-teamer with Rondo and Elton Brand to the Lakers; Gasol and Luke Walton (expires 2013) to the Sixers; and Evan Turner and rookie Nikola Vucevic to Boston (unlikely because Philly supposedly turns down all Turner overtures).

Yea I think this team is much further than I thought from being a piece away.

Turner Vucevic and Brand for Gasol would be such a steal. Super duper snap call.

The other week i was going to suggest we change this thread name to Free Evan Turner, guess we dont need to do that anymore. Keep giving this man heavy minutes please.
