any sixer fans have any insight into Elton Brands situation???
I know he sat off near the end of last game, due to the blowout...but what is really expected of him this year???
Are the Sixers depending on him alot? Is he going to get his touches and boards? I know hes clearly on the decline, but how much of one is the question.
also, just wanted to add..Lou Williams should be a top three nominee for Most Improved Player come seasons end imo. (but will lose to Brooke Lopez ldo)
Walter, not looking like there is a ton of 6ers love right now, especially during the WS. I'll try to get back into it in the coming weeks but as the years go by I become less and less interested in this league and feel as my time is better spent watch the college game.
Especially after reading of the excerpts from Donaghys book, blahhh.
Would Comcast sell the 76ers to someone who would move the team? The Sixers aren’t exactly hot in Philadelphia – the team is dead last in the NBA in home attendance.
Comcast is rumored to be buying NBC and could need some spare cash. And the sale of the Sixers would get rid of one potential anti-trust concern in the NBC deal.
In 2006, Ed Snider said Comcast-Spectacor looked at “strategic alternatives” involving the 76ers and said Comcast would not sell the team.
Three years later, the situation may be different.
FYI, the Sixers’ predecessors, the Warriors, moved to California in the early 1960s from Philly because of attendance problems.
The Sixers would need to battle Charlotte and Memphis to get into Las Vegas, a city that is aggresively courting an NBA team.
It would be pretty comical if he came back but Stefanski already ruled it out. He wouldnt make this team less fun to watch, but he would steal PT from any young bucks trying to develop.
