Re: Penn State Football: Building a New Foundation

4 missed field goals? Looks like Anthony Fera had a terrible day; didn't he only miss 3 FG's all last season????

Spoiler:

I was in Vegas for five days. Made a tidy profit taking the points on PSU I might add.

As far as the game, it was a punch in the gut for sure. The team's kicker from last year, Anthony Fera, transferred to UT to move back home to play in front of his mother who was recently diagnosed with MS. He wrote a very nice letter to the PSU community talking about the fact that he transferred solely to play closer to home and that he was going to finish his degree at PSU and still roots for the team and considers himself a Nittany Lion. Class kid and I wish him the best.

Anyway, I kind of felt bad for Ficken (the kicker who missed all of those FGs). He was thrown into that job and he clearly isn't ready.

wiper's obsession with bdidd is kinda weird, i like bdidd's rationality regarding this team. seems like the anger should be directed at the cult.

I feel like maybe even if he said that, he may also have been motivated by the overall creepy-ness of taking a shower in the same room where at least one child was brutally sodomized against his will.

Re: Penn State Football: Building a New Foundation

I was at the game. That was truly a tough loss, but at the same time, you gotta be encouraged by how well the rest of the team played. I feel awful for Ficken. I hope they didn't give him too much **** back at campus.

On a related note, it appears to be a big time down year for the B1G. Not pretty today around the league.

Sure they do. But the problem with their program is there just isn't the kind of loyalty Penn State fans are accustomed to. I bet if a Rutgers coach got caught doing something atrocious and against the law, somebody would run and tell the police. The horror.......

We're better than I thought we'd be. I'd set the O/U at 3.5-4 wins the rest of the way. Hopefully Ficken can get his nerves about him, but I won't hold my breath.
