I had to look it up because I remembered a blowout. Turns out PSU scored 18 points in the fourth quarter during garbage time, so only lost by 3.

So it was a total beatdown, but the final score made it look closer than it really was.

Anyway congrats on your win yesterday.

Really solid take on last year's game, but thanks! Nice to be at the point where we can play a pretty bad game overall and still win comfortably against a decent opponent. We'll need to play much better to get through the UM/OSU gauntlet, but I do think this team is capable of doing it.

Pitt played pretty well yesterday, covered the spread, ate up time of possession keeping PSU off the field. Exposed some holes in the PSU defense.

You're memory is failing. It was 28-21 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter and 35-31 3 minutes into the 4th quarter. The 3rd qtr isn't "garbage time".

Literally a close game throughout the entire 2nd half, with PSU in FG range for the tie late. Went for the kill shot instead and got picked in the end zone.

Yards, yards/play, first downs, etc. were basically identical. In the end, PSU had 4 turnovers and that cost them the game.

Seriously. He is doing things that I have never seen a running back do. Total package.

I really didn't think they had a play in them that would be effective on that last down. It won't be mentioned much but Barkley's block there was huge. Obviously incredible throw by McSorley as well... even though I do think he seems to have regressed a little overall since last year. Can't complain too much about that drive though.... championship caliber.

I am beginning to think Godwin was a bigger difference maker than we thought last year. This year's receivers have been nowhere. Barkley is putting the whole team on his back though so that helps. I think Baker Mayfield probably wins the Heisman, but Barkley is easily the best player this year. He is currently leading the B1G in receiving and rushing yards. Insane!

Either Harbaugh is a great QB coach and O'Korn is worse than Speight and just simply had a good day or OKorn is actually worse than Speight. Can't have it both ways.

Another game with a lot of slop and plenty to criticize. Sounds like Gesicki is gonna out for 6 weeks as well. Don't think we're elite tier this year unless Trace and the O-line can really step it up.... still fun to be 5-0 though lets just get by NW for now. Good timing on the bye week for sure.

By your standards probably only Alabama is elite. But that's probably also correct, since Sagarin has Bama as a 7pt favorite over the field.
