If we get Brenneman within the next two weeks (consistent with what some services are speculating), this will be the best start to a draft class in quite a while for PSU. Quite a job by BOB and the staff considering the circumstances.

I'm thinking 5-7. The coaching hire was a major mistake.

It certainly could be a mediocre year next year. No doubt about it. 8-4 would be a very successful season considering the circumstances.

The true test for BOB and company will be the recruiting classes for 2013, 2014 and 2015. It is still really early but for his first 2013 commit to be Hackenberg has to be some very good news.

Sticking to football, your mediocre team is losing its only good players and your recruiting class is MAC quality. Have a nice season.

and your 'quarterback' is probably the worst in the conference.

Its been reported that Breneman and Hackenberg had an intersting Twitter exchange after Hackenberg announced his commitment yesterday.

It appears PSU will have the #1 TE in the class of 2013. Can't really blame Breneman though. Look what BOB did with tight ends in the NE system.

The question of whether O'Brien was a good hire will be answered in the next three or four years.

Little late on this one. On Sunday, 4 star NJ DE Garrett Sickels (class of 2013)gave a verbal commitment to PSU. Offer sheet was pretty much everybody in the SEC (including Alabama and Florida) along with Ohio State and Nebraska.

Friday is Breneman's announcement. Could be HUGE!
