The near future looks bad obviously, but I agree that in the long term Penn State can be up there in recruiting with tO$U and Michigan. Penn State's long term future looks a lot better than Nebraska's.

This excerpt from an upcoming book (authored by a Michigan professor from what I understand) is definitely worth a read. Details the behind the scenes happenings when the sanctions hit. Mauti and Zordich FTMFW!

pretty sure I'd do a week in jail for the opportunity to fight jay paterno.

what a sniveling douchebag.

the whole coaching staff and all of the players all say **** went better when daddy wasn't around and that daddy didn't even know the players' names, and jay counters with "daddy was in complete control, ran every practice and led multiple winning drives".

like I said, he's in my top 5 fight club list.

I'd go to jail for a week as well if they'd let you bring the cannon.

Unsubstantiated rumors swirling that the final year of sanctions might be getting dropped.

Nobody cares. You are not the victim. Amazingly you and your fellow cultists still don't get it. Placing the football program above all is what allowed dozens of kids to to get raped, and you just seem annoyed that those pesky rapes and the pesky decade long cover up are getting in the way of the deification that permitted the atrocities to occur in the first place.

One. Less. Year.

Go back to getting made fun of in the NCAA thread bro. Or your Vegas TR thread. Or everywhere else that you are getting clowned.

Nobody cares. You don't care that kids got raped, which makes you a horrible person. Please proceed.

PSU did way better than I expected last season. JoePa's archaic offense was just holding them back in the end.

Cool, I missed the thread title change. "Penn State Football: Building a New Foundation." Hell that's a fine thread title--guys good luck on your new foundation! But wait hang on, just hang on one second now, because do you mean foundation as in a metaphorical foundation like "my friends we need a new foundation for a new era of penn state football!" or do you mean foundation like "gentlemen we need a sturdy new moral foundation upon which the citizens of our happy valley will make a triumphant return to the penn state way!" or do you maybe mean foundation like "invincible feathered honkey jesus in heaven this here Second Mile FOUNDATION was established in order to help our vulnerable youth but ended up swerving into a fruity/rapey/potentially unhelpful kiddie sex flea market so it's high time we got to forming an entirely new foundation because this one was simply not working, nope says right there in the mission statement no whisker-brooming or candy-bribing or butt-charming the children while in the act of rescuing their wayward lives."

ohahaha haha NITTANY DUDES--cmon guys I'm just totally messing with you! Sorry, really immature on my part, humor as crutch, Penn State where you can major in a minor, the Second Mile where no child's behind left, ivory towers glass houses really really quiet basements and imo just some lame coping mechanism of using humor to deflect...what? Using humor to deflect...the awkward feeling of encountering a real-life situation that has nothing whatsoever funny about it? Using humor to deflect...a gust of honest injun evil that will still be ramifying through actual people's lives a hundred years from now but that STILL so many imbecile apologists are STILL STILL STILL arguing was just some chance aberration limited to a few old pervs? Because hey don't judge us this could have happened anywhere and let's not punish the student-athletes? Yeah maybe. And anyway, **** it. And I'm totally kidding about the title change btw, bc obviously you just meant foundation as in "the cakey makeup in six shades of diaper brown that chicks clump on their cheeks to cover up an eruption of hickeys and cankers and greasy chinblisters into the illusion of something pure and remotely instagramable." Epilogue: No but seriously, Sandusky, yeah, that guy's a monster.

ETA: yikes on the reread, breakfast rant not aimed at bdidd or anyone itt, distant family member just made me mad, whole story still makes me mad bro, mods feel free to delete, omg duck GUST OF EVIL
