Sorry for being a dick earlier, we were fortunate in the win

Hung out with a bunch of PSU fans at the tailgate, they were all cool and it was a lot of fun. Props to them for still going all-out despite the situation. Still not happy about our cross-divisional "rivalry" assignment but we'll see how things go next year.

That was an extremely clutch kick in OT. I'm happy for that kid considering what he's been through.

Some brilliant speculation of a one win season from the usual suspects earlier ITT.

If 8-4 equals a "football dead zone", who else qualifies as such?

OK. I'm done with the condescending stuff. Time to move on. Whether PSU sucks or remains competitive for the rest of the sanction period is anyone's guess. I hope BOB sticks around. I think this team can be very, very good in six to seven years if BOB sticks around.

And I think they will go 5-7 to 7-5 for most of the next three years.

yeah that's my prediction for next year (isn't Penn St getting that #1 juco transfer at QB [Jake Waters]? That should help keep them in the 6-6 range). As far as beyond that year, I expect a big drop off but that could possibly be mitigated by 1) getting Hackenberg and 2) keeping O'Brien.

The worst nightmare is if O'Brien leaves for the NFL this year cuz then Hackenberg ain't coming and then it's total abortion time.

it's still coming. bdidd just likes to talk about how it didn't happen THIS season.

when 7-5 is your ceiling for the next 6-7 years, i'd consider that a football _____ ______.

7-5 is their ceiling for the next 3 years, then expect it to start improving.

Hackenberg's grandfather was my social studies teacher in tenth grade. I knew his dad as well as he played out of his final two years of NCAA eligibility at my school.

Picked up three more verbals over the weekend. Currently #25 in recruiting class rankings for next year. Not bad for having such a big hurdle to overcome in terms of sanctions.

It was actaully four verbals this weekend, not three. My bad.

Waters commits to KSU. No big surprise as his GF is a student there. I heard there is a Cali JUCO QB who they are now targeting. The kid said on Twitter recently that he was commited to Houston but supposedly that tweet disappeared once Waters committed to Kansas.

Plenty of Penn State fans using their one time on a negotiated reduction of sanctions coming out of the Commonwealth's anti-trust suit against the NCAA.
