If Urban doesn't make wholesale changes in the offensive coaching staff I will be very disappointed in him.

At least we have the Blue Jackets this month.

You guys should be ashamed. All we hear about is Urb pulling the best croots ever, yet the oline is a joke and there isnt a single competent WR on the roster. Oh, and the playcalling. Jesus.

That's why following crootin is for suckers. Not sure the play calling is that bad. We're just losing the battles on offense in the trenches, on the edge, and downfield.

OSU offensive line is awful, playcalling is awful, JT is awful, no good wide receivers. Other than that, the offense has been ok

Somebody just held up a sign RIGHT behind Rece Davis' head in a live shot that had the score of the PSU OSU game on it

first thing out of his mouth...

"what went wrong?"

"well, we missed two field goals early on, and if we didn't you know, it would be 10-6 and we're right there but..."

This isn't a surprise to any competent Buckeye fan. We have been terrible all year on the offensive side of the ball. Playcalling, o line play has been atrocious. Jesus christ of Isaiah Prince is the starting anything next year...

Not blindly saying "go bucks! We're the best" at every instance and actually seeing all of the faults of the team.

Gonna be even more disappointing when Herman turns Texas into a powerhouse.

dont get how they beat michigan and then get totally stomped. I mean, I understand theres proly some matchup issues with clemson, and certainly clemson was underrated due to such an easy schedule, but still. guess michigan wasnt that good. nor the rest of the big, including wisky and penn.

oh well, next year should be another playoff.

We weren't. Our mediocre OL is the main problem. Lack of playmakers is the other issue.

I enjoyed this take. I wish my friends who think Urban sucks could understand how insanely good he is.

Quote:
Urban Meyer’s 61-6 record at Ohio State is just tough to get your head around when you really think about it.
He’s won 11 games or more in each of his five seasons at the helm in Columbus. He’s only lost six, and never more than twice in a season. Two of those losses have come to Clemson, and they’ve come in bowl games.
Speaking of those six losses, our Ohio State blog did some digging.
Ohio State had only lost by 35 total points in the 5 previous losses in the Urban Meyer era

Urban isn't bad. 11 wins with this team is way above expectation considering Oklahoma, Penn State, Michigan, and Clemson were all on the schedule.

Whether that is all defense or coaching is a different story. Urban was a great innovator back in the BG and Utah days when nobody was running the spread. Even when he first got to Florida, it was still fairly unique. He isn't a bad coach, but he has to reevaluate the talent on the team. More particularly the offensive side. Ed Warriner is not a good O coordinator. He needs to go back to specifically working with the O line. The Tim Beck hire never made sense to me, why we would hire a fired O coordinator. Those two changes happen and we don't lose a single game next year.
