I think this is obviously the best strategy for the recruiting rich states. It puts pressure on kids to commit early to the instate favorite. I hope OSU keeps doing it as well.
Also look for DePriest to commit to Bama this weekend. The rumors are that we were ahead for a bit and Bama made a strong push. Some insiders are claiming that his high school position coach will have a job when Trey arrives on campus in some capacity (other than his summer camp job in Tuscaloosa) with Bama but I can't tell if it is sour grapes or not. I will try to remember to check on it. They also claim he is recruiting Braxton for Bama as well.
I know getting a job for a recruits handler is a common practice in basketball but does it happen that often in football? I think this is the first time I have ever heard of it for football.
