I mean we're arguing over semantics. The bottom line is that tO$U has been engaged in widespread cheating for about a decade minimum. Trying to say it was all Tressel is just ridiculous, and promoting his #2 is a move that shows the institution isn't serious about compliance.

That actually may end up being a big deal. It moves the lying from tressel to the entire department.

No paper trail though.

to UM fans: you all really didn't think that anything was ever going to come of this, did you? i've at times allowed myself to dream, to think that they may have gotten punished appropriately, but then reality set in and i remembered it's osu that we're talking about.

5-year probation, no scholarship loss, no bowl suspension, 11-1 + rose bowl this season.

*sigh*

If you believe otherwise, you're either delusional or as dumb as most Ohio State fans. Probably both
So you know more than the former compliance officer that was quoted in the article saying it could have been a legal use of the fund and said the guideline for use isn't exhaustive? That is cute.

haha.

Also the no bowl ban is looking better everyday. Still think it will be at least 2 years Ike?

No, it should be. This is far more LOL NCAA than LOL Ike.

OSU lied to the NCAA's face to get players into a bowl game. The idea of them not missing two bowl games for that transgression is absurd.

I thought the NCAA didn't want to suspend them for the bowl game because they wanted higher ratings. I thought that was the general consensus of the original thread 8 months ago. I'm sure OSU also wanted them to play, but the NCAA definitely benefited from their suspension not starting until 2011.

The idea is that every compliance official at Ohio State, along with the AD, Gordon Gee, Les Wexner, and the governor of Ohio already knew and participated in rampant cheating and knew, but said nothing else was going on.

Ikes got some good inside sources, though.

I mean milo, I realize that English is hard when it's a 400 level class at OSU, but I'm not refusing to admit to being wrong. I admit that two posts before the one you quoted. Good grief.

The lol is a reference to the stupidity of the ncaa. My fault is expecting some basic enforcement.

If true, wow. $300 at GT gets more than institutionalized cheating complete with cover-up at O$U. Even for the NCAA this is really incredible stuff.

The trouble is, you need proof, not just a hunch.

such a pathetic fundamental difference between the 2 schools. osu fans want michigan to be super strong for epic showdown games. michigan wants to cakewalk easy wins due to a neutered rival.

michigan fans prefer to cheer moar for off the field stuff than actual games.

haha. You are something else. This is the post where you admit you are wrong and your post isn't even correct. The NCAA and the Sugar Bowl knew about our ineligible players. The Sugar Bowl lobbied to have them be eligible. You are wrong about so many things it is laughable. I love how you just conveniently change facts around so you don't look so wrong.

Keep trying though buddy. The more stuff you keep saying something is bound to be correct sooner or later. It is just a numbers game for you I guess.

Not much but I guarantee if you guys got hit with sanctions your thread would look nothing like this thread. No one here really cared about your practicegate scandal. We just thought it was funny that you practiced more than you were allowed and still sucked.
