So far he seems a bit young (obv). Maybe if his footwork drastically improves this year.

I will never, ever, ever defend Charlie Weis again. He is a ****ing moron. They cannot cover Floyd or Tate, Gray fumbled too much last year and should not be in the game and this ******* keeps running screens and dives. 3rd and 11 and he runs a screen,.lol what a fat douchebag.

We do well with runs and deep passes, but we keep scheming ourselves into FPS.

I doubt he's the guy to wear that delay of game penalty-- I mean wasted timeout.

Complete failure by Weis, Ternuta and Clausen.

I know about the recruiting class rankings, but maybe it is time to rethink even this. How bad of shape could the program have been in if the team he inherited was the best ND team in over 10 years? We know he can lose with superior talent, do we really think he was winning with inferior talent?

He's going to get killed for not milking the clock and keeping it on the ground, but he'd be celebrated by the same folks if it had worked.

You were outcoached and outplayed. Luckily for you we were out officiated.

Absolutely gutted. Navy in 07, UNC, Pittsburgh and now this. We've lost some heartbreakers. Can't properly verbalize any analysis right now. Drained, was some game. Bitter ending.

I think it would have been much smarter for him to take the percentage / standard playcalling route in that scenario. Not necessarily because it carried the higher EV (I mean, when considering our running ), but because it definitely would leave him less open to criticism after the fact in the event of a loss. And minimizing that would be significantly preferable over the coming weeks.

But you are completely correct when you say he would be hailed as a genius in many quarters that will be gunning for him now. When you are massively results orientated / black and white in your perception, anything that wins is a 'good' decision and anything which losses 'bad'.
