Btw Chise, as a fellow Giants fan, who is the worse Brown, CC or Sergio? Bad safety play is a bane of my existence.

yeah, but charlie said that the 'illegal chop block in the last drive cost' you...

i mean, you don't believe him??? i do.

he's obviously a great coach (to HELL with michigan), who is still trying to turn around the program, because while he may have his own players now, he's still trying to turn around the culture that Ty left behind..

kidding, really. i know what this is, and i know what my team is. like someone said earlier, at least you guys get to dream about new coaches and a new future.

we'll still have our defense.

It wasn't totally biased. They called Pitt offsides in the 3rd qtr.

This game was so exciting that I fell asleep in the 2nd quarter. Thanks, Charlie and don't let the double door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Hope this is enough to get it done. The ndnation board has been melting down over the past week, can only imagine what it was like overnight.

Navy put him in the XXXL coffin and into the hole in the ground, the fourth loss just threw the dirt on top.

But yeah, all doubts should be gone at this point. He is finished.

Thoughts on how Weis leaves? Does he get every penny of his buyout or does he take less (since it's his alma mater, he didn't live up to personal performance expectations, etc)

He envisions a future where he can eat all the drive-thru in the world, so he fights for every penny.

This was written before the Pitt loss, but the writer's recommendations are spot on imo:

Although I threw Weis under the bus, I feel very sorry for him, and for the people on the bus.

Colin Cowherd spent about 30 straight minutes talking about how ND needs to offer Kelly ASAP. All I'm trying to figure out how this is wrong somehow because I agreed with something Cowherd said.

I feel this way. Been getting tilted like crazy reading the boards and hearing the delusional rantings of Irish fans who think a hire of anyone less than UM or Bob Stoops would be a collasal failure. To quote Kinish from Rounders, "And I need a Bl#w job from Christie Turlington." If we don't get Kelly somone else will. For God's sake he wins football games, really really wants the job, just pull the ****ing trigger already.

Yeah, a ND fan called in saying that he thinks Kelly is aiming too low and that they should just back up the truck and unload cash on Saban and that Kelly hadn't done enough to be worth an offer. I lol'd and Cowherd ripped the guy so hard saying that Saban is already making millions at a school with comparable prestige to ND and his team is already good, so why would he leave? He was also adamant that schools need to hire up and coming talents instead of deluding themselves about entrenched stars.

Again I was trying to find where he went wrong because I found myself agreeing with Cowherd even more. Kelly would obviously be an excellent hire.

Just wondering....Should ND consider Jim Harbaugh?
Notre Dame Football - A New Hope Quote

I hope not, because if all fails and the RR era really does completely bomb out I kind of want Harbaugh to still be available, assuming Michigan holds some pull with him. But after Kelly I really am drawing a blank on obvious candidates. The timing and circumstances for him just seem too good.

Hiring Brian Kelly is so obvious for ND that I'm sure they'll hire Phil Fulmer somehow.

I agree that Kelly should be the guy. Just wondering if ND fans itt would be happy getting Harbaugh if Kelly fell through.

If RR fails/gets fired I also hope we get Harbaugh.

Surprisingly these accurate sentiments are presently not being echoed at delusionalndnation.com.

The only way Kelly falls through is with a collasal fail from the ND Admin. Which after the last 3 coaches is impossible to rule out. Wouldn't be crazy about a Harbaugh hire, that said, he's still a huge upgrade over CW.

I'm going to guess the opposition to Kelly @ NDNation is?:

1 - Not Urban Meyer
2 - MIGHT BE PRO CHOICE (Kelly's dad was a Democratic politician in Boston)
3 - Hasn't won multiple national titles yet (kind of the same as 1)
4 - Has only proven himself a winner at multiple levels of college football for fifteen years. Notre Dame deserves better.
5 - May not even be related to Urban Meyer. The Rock is still looking into this

Am I close?

Lol, I just got banned from NDnation because I asked someone what exactly made Brian Kelly less dynamic than Urban Meyer other than his looks. Apparently the mods don't like that over there, in addition to a seeming irrational hatred of the man in favor of Gruden.

Well the Pro-choice thing is certainly out the window given who gave ND's commencement address, but now that you mention it I think that actually came up on the boards when Kelly's name was floated last year.

Kelly has won national titles, just not the pesky Divsion 1 FBS types Irish fans demand.

But seriously, Kelly is sooooo ridulously obvious here, like having 3BBs left and open shoving on the button w/AJs. Wanting Meyer now is the equivalent of folding out of irrational certainty that AA is coming the next hand. If ND wants to make overtures to the mythical Tier 1 crowd, sure, go for it. But Kelly is hardly a consolation prize and shouldn't be dealt with as such, because plenty of other schools (see Michigan, University of) would smartly snatch him up in a heartbeat.

I mean, you give Meyer or his agent a phone call just based on the fact that he has been quoted as saying that ND is his dream job, but you'd be a damn fool to make that your only call of the day.
