I'll be the 18th guy to say I think you are off your nut.

I'm assuming that you'll interpret this rejection of your position more evidence that it is correct.

As much as I hate the analogy, it's partially true of RRod. He gets trashed mostly by Mich blue bloods and by fans of ootOSUs and the other opponents. Because they really don't want to see the kind of skilled option teams, that he once built with with the WVU talent, year after year. It will be hard for ND to win more than 2/3 of the games.
have you ever seen the movie Mean Girls?

Basically I've got a "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one your with" attitude with Weis. I think regardless of who the coach was '07 and '08 would have been challenging due to huge lacks in depth and experience. That said, a better coach would have found a way to beat Navy/USAFA two years ago and Syracuse last year. No one doubts that CW's learning curve has been steep, and that ND is pretty much the last program in the country to go to for on the job training. Would I have loved to get Urban Meyer, **** yeah I would have (Fla's amazing results speak for themselves). At this point at least, there's reason to be optimistic. ND right now has the best talent its had since probably the early 1990s, and recruiting continues to be a strong point. The roster finally has some depth. They have the best defensive coordinator in college football in Jon Tenuta. Weis's offensive credentials are hardly in dispute. The question is really of CW the "manager"--can he put it all together? If he can't and goes something like 7-5 w/this schedule I'll be the first to call for his head (I actually was leaning strongly in favor of a coaching change at the end of last year). At the very least, regardless of how 2009 turns out, he'll have left the program in exponentially better shape than he inherited it.

BTW I know Dick Rod isn't real popular among certain segments of the UM faithful, but forget that. He's an outstanding coach, just outside the top tier of Tressel, Carrol, Meyer, and Stoops imo. He was an excellent hire, and I think once his talent and system are in place UM will be as formidable as ever. Put it this way, I was pissed when he got hired because I know what it will do to our chances against you guys every year.
So you have top-10 talent in the nation, and the nation's best Defensive Coordinator (lol), and a coach with outstanding offensive credentials. So why the **** are you not winning more games?

I don't hate Charlie because he's at all worrisome. I hate him because he is a fat, arrogant, blowhard douchebag who can't put three sentences together without shoving his foot so far down his fat throat that his toes come out of his gastric bypassed oversized ass.

Other than the hatred for Weis and ND in general, You Michigan guys don't really think you will win this game do you? I am not trying to be a smart ass, with two freshman qb's and the overall experience advantage ND has, I can't see Michigan winning this game.

Charlie just wanted to give the opportunity for us Irish fans to get 5-1 on our money when we beat USC this year.

Well, the game of the year line equated to about -250, so you do the math, plus it's not a straight moneyline bet, it's who wins first, NDvUSC or UMvOSU, so even if I lose this year, I still have a decent amount of equity. Unless things go horribly from here, I should have way the best of it.

There's arguments either way, but nobody knows what the **** is going to happen. ND was awful before bending over two WAC opponents. Michigan has one coherent showing against a MAC team that could be indicative of something or it couldn't be. That's why I'm so excited for this game. I can't remember another one where I had no real idea of what's going down. Do I expect Michigan to win? Eh, I guess deep down not really, but it's way closer than "lol you don't think your team can win do you?"

Neither side should be overly confident.

The first drive of an ND-UM game usually sets the tone. The ND-UM game usually sets the tone of the season. The only 'exception' I know of is 2004 and 2006, where the loser rallied to go on to lose a BCS bowl.
