I just can't bring myself to root for USC. I think Kelly might be gone regardless.

I might have to find the energy to put it on a screen, BK playcalling in a monsoon is Must See TV.

I'm way more pissed than expected knowing the refs are giving Kelly one excuse after another.

Tillery in pure scumbag mode in this game.

I hope USC gets over 50 to send Shanty out the door.

If Kelly is the coach next year, I'm not watching a single game. Never been so embarrassed to be an ND fan, or an American for that matter.

And here comes ESPN promoting the 30 for 30 "Catholics vs Convicts". Nice.

By the way, Bob Davie's New Mexico team has rushed for 428 yards and 5 TDs against Mountain West division champ Wyoming ...

in the first half.

Do you guys really think kelly gets fired?

I'd be praying for NFL gigs to open up imo.

A man can dream, because it certainly looks like he going to have to do more than lose a ton of games and continually embarrass the school to get fired

Seems like it would be done by now if he was getting fired.

I don't know, seems like there isn't a huge rush unless you have someone already lined up to replace him. The whole staff is going to be busy recruiting until the dead period starts (December 12 iirc).

It's nothing but a guess but I think he gets another year. Swarbick doesn't really want to pay another buyout, does he?

The only time I can ever think of someone waiting around after the end of the season to fire their coach is when Michigan waited until the bowl game to fire Rich Rod, and how did that work out? The odds are dropping precipitously with every passing day

Are you like I was with hoke, in that ANYONE was better you just want him gone?

I wouldn't say anyone is better, I certainly don't think 4-8 is going to continue. But I think he's just going to continue spitting out 7-5, 8-4, and 9-3 type seasons with the occasional seasons where everything goes right/wrong, which is just uninspiring. But this is the chance to get rid of him and find an upgrade, because if you aren't going to fire him after going 4-8 and being stripped of a bunch of wins, he probably won't be going anywhere next year after going 8-4 either because hey, it's a bounce back year! They just dropped 400 million into the stadium and are trying to sell luxury boxes, at some point they're going to have to find a coach who can compete with Saban and Urban and Harbaugh or else the money will dry up, at least you'd think so

completely agree, just a really odd scenario i would say. Tried to make sense of it, but just comes back to I think both parties benefit from a mutual separation.

How about a list of 12 schools where he may keep his entire buyout?
