Ok, I'm probably being an idiot here, but I'm feeling ND again this weekend. Pitt hasn't done anything this year, and their QB has looked really shaky. As mentioned before, ND's record is deceptive: they're a lot better than people think. And Crist, despite a few mistakes, has shown signs of greatness imo. He's playing a lot better this year then I thought he would. And the game's in South Bend. So I bet 575 to win 500 on ND -6.

My final score prediction: ND 28 Pitt 17

What are your guy's take on this game? And what's your prediction?

I'm dreading another failboat like Pitt 2008 which was heavily mocked on this board even before OT ended. I haven't had time to preview Pitt other than their lifeless game vs Miami.

Yeah, I only watched them for a full game week 1 against Utah, when Utah was looking off and beat them. Don't know how they turned out so terrible.

Back in 2005 I would have never thought that Wannstache would have outlasted Charlie Weis, but here we are. I think we pull it off today.

Has NDNation melted down over our sloppy win? I haven't checked but it woukld be partially deserved for our O stalling and the play clock arguments.

The dropped screen on our last drive on 2nd and 4 has ignited a ****storm, even though spiking the ball twice and then punting probably would only cost fractions of a win given the field position and the state of Pitt's defense

Yeah, I meant offense. Still, even though they had just threw a long touchdown, they still aren't going 90 yards in a minute and a half any more than 10-20% of the time, and the play was wide open if he had hung onto the ball. Running versus passing on those two downs probably only differ by a few tenths of a percent in win percentage and your guess is as good as mine as to which comes out ahead, it's not worth arguing over.

How do you calculate that, national averages? Even if we assume ND wins 100% with a first down, I think Pitt's scoring chances are substantially lower with 0 timeouts than 2 in the two minute drill. If Les Miles was coaching you'd always drain his TOs.
