I swore I wouldn't make any more sports bets this year after losing over a $1000 on the opening weekend, but I just couldn't help myself. That ND game is a freakin LOCK!!!

So yeah I bet 525 to win 500 on ND (spread at -3). Anyone think this is crazy? Or do others agree this is a good bet?

it's really hard to guess how these teams are compared to each other, so I would assume the vegas guys have a better idea than we will. It's probably just about even.

its kind of true though i mean -3 is a pretty slim margin so betting at around 1-1 is going to be pretty close if -3 is in fact an accurate line. It certainly could be a plus ev but but your certainly riding the variance train.

I have to travel around to find a venue that will actually have ND@BC on tv. I don't think that has happened since the last time a bad ND team played in Boston, like 2004.

www.atdhe.net streams it without commercials, you can hear the band during the breaks and they pan the crowd.

Kaspersky says it's a virus, but I suppose he can clean my computer after the game.

Yeah, ESPN3 is also showing without commercials right now. The commentator seems to be a decent enough guy from what I can make out!

Also, some sliver of positivity:

Michigan, Michigan St. and Stanford might be pretty good teams.

A win is a win is a win. And we needed a result. But make no mistake, Boston are a bad team and will struggle somewhat for Bowl eligibility by season's end. They had no running game, problems at QB, and a poor receiving core - allied to a defense that blew hot and cold.

After starting 21 - 0 we should have been able to push on and dominate. We didn't. It does look like our losses have come to solid teams, so that's something to be positive about. But we are just so sloppy and unfocused under Kelly thus far.

I was at a bar that had a BC club meeting. Seriously, in Phoenix AZ there's a Boston College club. Still a 3rd of the bar was ND fans. The eagles were surly but I still spared them the ND WAITLIST chant.

That reminded me of the Stanford game except the Indians are plain better at everything than the Eagles. w/o a functioning QB BC wasn't a a threat so we looked better. For example I didn't know until last week that AA can drag tacklers twice his weight. I hope he can still do it in our last game.

Just got back from Boston, man does BC suck. Someone should take a look at the financial records of their wide receivers, I think in the fine BC tradition they might be throwing games again, I've never seen so many dropped passes. Pretty ****ty game other than the first quarter, at least it was a million times better than the 17-0 drubbing I sat through in 08.

I mean, we were a couple of plays here and there from being 4 - 1. And if we were, I might allow stupid results orientation to be much higher on how this team has performed.
