Two things are keeping BK from having the honeymoon usually extended to new coaches.

1. The perception of talent. It is believed that we have a lot of talented players brought in from the Weis years. The perception is true in the offensive skill positions.

2. Inferior system. They believe that a shotgun spread that's depends on throws is for small schools that can't the bodies for power running. Also believed is that it will only work on mediocre to poor defenses.

The record is on the low end of the spectrum but this is exactly the team I was expecting. The only performance that was disappointing was Saturday's, which was against a superior team.

You saying they would split UM and MSU means nothing to no one.

You'll notice that I projected less wins than anyone else itt. I agreed with others saying they would split meeeeeeeeechigan games. If they run the table from here on (they haven't played three of the 5 best teams on their schedule yet) they'll fulfill those 9 win predictions some put up. lolirish

Honestly, I didn't read this thread in the off months so I don't really know what most here think. I just assumed most here were rational (2+2er bias I guess). I could be totally off.

The point was that it's so ridiculously impossible, aka people predicting 9 wins are already wrong. Chillax man. USC Pitt Utah and BC are pretty solid favorites over them still just off the top of my head.
