The D playe well in some parts like 3rd down and the red zone but not in others. An interviewer asked RRod about how Nevada was able to run big yards up the gaping middle and Rod slipped by the question like a blocked ND tackle. I'm more worried about what the game plan is because I doubt the Michigans and USC will suddenly freeze up on the key plays. We do have a very young Dline.

Here is a question for you: Would you be happy for a split over the next two games (Mich/Mich St.)? Or are you hoping to take both games? I know that Michigan is greatly improved from last year. However, Mich St. has been a giant thorn in the side of ND. If you had to choose one team to beat, who would it be?
If we had to split, 95% of the time I'd say beat state because I can't stand how they play us miles better than big10. But this year it's UM because losing in A^2 could blow up our season whereas losing to St at home is well rehearsed.
I'd drop them both if it meant we stomp Southern Cal.
