So I go on ESPN.com this morning and find out they started the NY section of ESPN.com.

The FIRST thing I come across is a Yankee blog by Andrew Marchand. He's comparing Joba with Papelbon. The last sentence of his blog is this...

Papelbon's saved 151 games over the past four years. That's more important than a third or fourth starter with only average production.

You have to be f'ing kidding me.

Then I skim down and see he has some gems about A-Rod.

Not Clutch: Not only did he do what he did in October, he led the AL in OPS after the seventh inning during the regular season. So even before the postseason, he was clutch.

Perennial Bridesmaid: A-Rod has been pretty much a loser his entire career. He wears No. 13 because of Dan Marino. Marino never won a Super Bowl, but he was known for being clutch by virtue of all his late-game heroics.

A-Rod had froze in the playoffs with the Yankees. Last year, he provided one of the great Octobers ever.

How the hell do some of these writers get jobs?

Have you guys been watching "The Lineup"? It's a series on MSG where they bring in "experts" to debate who the greatest New York baseball player in each position is. The amount of hyperbole in each episode is mind-blowing.

It's amazing listening to talk radio in NY over the past few weeks in regards to Mets vs. Yankees preseason questions and issues.

It's like the sky is falling over Queens and the Yanks had ultra-mini drama over a 5th starter.
