People are getting on Kay for talking about a no-hitter? Really?

Just to confirm: what bothers me is that he seemingly goes out of his way to obnoxiously do it to prove some sort of holier-than-thou point he has. Again, see the audio clip I linked in a previous post for proof. If he wasn't going out of his way to do it or trying to make some soap box point, I would not care nearly as much.

I just read on Big League Stew that Swisher leads the Yankees in AVG, HR, RBI and ERA. I don't know why that didn't hit me before. How great is that? When was the last time that happened, Babe Ruth?

ruth barely pitched for the yankees but 03 comes the closest. he led the team in era (3, although he only pitched one game) and led them in everything but rbi. it's possible that at some point in the season he led the team in all four.

sucks for depth and all but at least they won't be tempted to play him over swisher.

I was hoping they could use Nady as trade bait for whatever necessity the team had at the deadline.

Ian Kennedy had 11 K's in AAA a few nights ago, maybe they'll dangle him instead.

I don't think they are gunna send Kennedy anywhere until they are sure Wang is right and Burnett's arm won't blow up again.

kennedy has always raped aaa hitters so i doubt it will increase his trade value any.

This blows. Nady has a hit in seven straight games to boot.

AJax should be playing everyday which won't happen if he gets called up.

it won't? brett gardner had a nice night yesterday but there's no guarantee that he's going to hit well enough to play center field.

I'd be pretty surprised if they called up Austin Jackson. They still have four outfielders. So unless they're ready to give up on Gardner and Melky already, I think they'd go with a scrub like Shelley Duncan or John Rodriguez for now.

I love all the awkward camera cuts focusing on whatever black players in the dugout they can find.
