How many position players have hit a HR and struck a batter out in the same game in MLB history?

beat up chuck norris

also I'd like to say that before the season I told my RL friends/family that taking into account cost vs. benefit, Nick Swisher was the best move the Yanks made this off-season.

Somebody needs to take a look at this. Is this an "inverted L"? Will Nick Swisher's pitching career be tragically cut short by injuries?

Video, which someone posted in the Driveline comments. Awesome. Man those announcers are trying hard to ruin it though.

Brett Gardner and his career .280 OBP leading off tonight. Would it really be the end of the world if Tex batted 2nd instead of 3rd? The whole idea of having to have a "base stealer fast guy" in the lead off spot and not allowing any power hitters to hit higher than 2nd is so stupid. Doesn't Girardi know better?

Melancon and Roberston combined at Triple-A: 21 K, 1 BB, 3 H, 10 2-3 IP. I can't wait until these guys are pitching the important non-Rivera innings.
