i'm sure wang will get corrected though i am worried about all the dicking around the yankees have done with him. i don't know why they weren't satisfied with him as a sinkerballer.

Yeah, I was thinking that as Cone and Flaherty kept talking about how he has to mix his pitches and work on his mechanics. If it ain't broke...

Maybe when ARod and Teix return, one of them can pitch?

lol @ swisher, saw the highlights inbetween innings in the Jays game.

What was swisher hitting on the gun, and was he just throwing a 4seam fb?

highest i saw him hit was 81 but most pitches seemed to be in the mid to high 70s. i don't think he threw anything but fastballs (if you want to call them that).

cbs gamecenter had him pumping changeups, he must have had hitters off balance

The Tampa batters probably just let him get them out because he's so cool and hopefully it'll give them a conversation starter at a party in the future if they're lucky enough to see him.

i missed the game... i had planned to watch the archive on mlb.tv not knowing the results, but i received an email from my father titled "WARNING: DO NOT WATCH NYY TONIGHT"

However, I did fire up Swisher's pitching appearance. Lol that was awesome. Of course Michael Kay is being his usual holier-than-thou douche self "I know he's smiling out there and asking for the ball, but the team is embarrassed tonight blah blah"

Get over it Kay. It's one loss. It doesn't count for more than one loss no matter how much you lose by.

mlb.com called them all changeups except for the first pitch he threw to pena, which they called a fastball (which is weird, cause it was 78 mph and he threw changeups at 79 and 80). for a normal pitcher they would be changeups but i have no idea if swisher can actually throw it harder than that. he didn't pitch in college and i don't think he pitched in high school either. and i don't think his arm in the outfield is anything special.
