I'm really not a Stanton fan. Guy kills us. Always up with runners on base and strikes out way too much and is way too boom bust. In playoffs against better teams and better pitching it's way more boom than bust. Major Achilles heel

This doesn’t make sense to bring Lynn in with bases loaded then get Chad green up in the pen. Either start Lynn with a clean inning or have Green up and ready when sevvy gave up his 6th hit. Ground balls Lynn might get won’t offset the fact we need K’s and no runs to come in, and he throws all fastballs vs a team who’s already been timing a better fastball. Boston’s not overswining anything, read the game

Boone pulled Happ early in game 1 when he looked better than Sevvy did

Sevy is such a big time fraud. Dont pay this guy

Game is over. Let Lynn eat a bunch of innings. Need the pen for tomorrow. Completely idiotic to not bring a reliever in to get out if jam then Lynn to start next inning though. Boone is the absolute worst. Missin you Girardi

Sevy is still years away from free agency, we can calm down there. It was clear early he didn't have it and honestly he should have been pulled in the 3rd.

In the American League, it is not possible to manage a worse game than Boone did tonight. Sevy should not have started the 4th, then when bases loaded, it should have been Green or Robertson or even Betances instead of Lynn. He then proceeded to waste Green and Holder in a game that was lost anyway. Happ should have been an option if he wasn't gonna start g4 because g5 should be a tanaka start.

Love sabathia, hope he can come through tonight, he has been pretty good against the sox last couple years.

No amount of managing could have turned a 16-1 loss into a win. That being said, Boone made just about every wrong pitching change possible.

When does Cashman start to take some blame. JD Martinez and Yelich were both out there and we end up with Stanton who will strike out 350 times a year, and pad his stats off of **** pitching in games that don't matter. Everyone else is playing chess while Cashman is playing checkers. Also, Boone. Jesus Christ with this guy. Tanaka should have been the game 1 starter vs Sale. We were always going to crush Price. Could have been up 2-0 going back to NY. Every Yankee fan in America knew Severino didn't have it last night after the first inning. Would it kill a manager to acknowledge his guy doesn't have it and give him the quick hook once in a while.

Never...he's an A+ GM. Sure he's missed here and there but for every Sonny Gray he's backed it up with a Happ, Voit, Britton, Stanton, Andujar, Judge, Torres, etc..

Yelich was not a FA, and even if he was no one would be able to predict the year he had so for the love of **** STOP!!! J.D. was but you know the Yanks don't want to go over the luxury tax, so the point is moot (though who wouldn't want JD). In fact this is the first year in Franchise history that they didn't go over the luxury tax since it's inception. As for Stanton remember who he's was traded for...Starlin Castro. Who's numbers would you rather have this season Stanton or Castro?

No Happ was the clear gm 1 starter based on his track record vs Boston, that's a no brainer...Yes Yankee ***** is Yankee ***** but Tanaka isn't blowup proof either...the only thing you posted that is actually correct is yes Sevy had no business starting the 4th inning.

So with all that said are we done with the ****ing second guessing posting in bad faith bull**** and get ready to root this team on to WIN THIS ****ING GAME TONIGHT!!!

While overreactions are mostly inane, the whole sequence of how the 0-7 deficit happened took the air out of the stadium and you could easily argue the performance on the field suffered a lack of focus resulting in 1 run scored and a parade of meh relief. Game momentum is real. Whether that carries over is much more unquantifiable

Nobody knew how good jd would be even Boston. He will be opting out of his deal in a year because he’s underpaid

Yep. Machado 3B move Andujar to 1B imo.

Kid is a good enough hitter but his lack of range and slow reactions at 3B are not good enough.

No. Please just spend all the money on pitching. We already have to pay $300m to watch a dude strikeout 300 times every year. Let's actually invest some money in pitching.

Yelich was there to be had and it was a no brainer Even before his MVP season he was a tremendous player and fits out lineup perfectly. We finally get out from Arod, Texeira, Beltran just wait for a home run years almost by default and had a fun, exciting team again. Now we've added Stanton and it's more of the same. The question isn't who would you rather have Castro or Yelich, it's who would you rather have Stanton or Yelich (for much less money if the luxury tax is an issue and losing a few prospects who will prob never seen the Yankees regular roster anyway)?

Stanton is a great small market attraction. He is an absolute inning killer for a team with consistent postseason ambitions though.
