I'm not calling myself a D-Ro truther by any means but I have to ask myself how is it that he was pitching in the top 15% of all relievers (excluding 2016) from 11-15, 17 and now he's at about 35 - 40%. Now in a vacuum it's still decent and a good number of teams would love D-Ro on their team at that number. Even "sabermetrically speaking" in most stats that matter (qualifying relievers), K/9, SIERA, xFIP. he's in the top 33%. Also his 4.91 ERA vs his 3.10 SIERA is telling you there will be some positive regression coming.

Big concern I have is his K/BB ratio dropping significantly from 4.25 to 3.00 this season. Now at this point I'm like wtf...that's strange. Checked stats on Cutter velo and nothing's changed there, in fact he's up a MPH from last year to 92.2. Then I saw he was throwing a Slider and again I was like wtf.
Why is he throwing a Slider (even though he has a .000 against this season)?

Because his Cutter is getting lit the **** up like a drunk on St. Patrick's Day. Opponents are hitting .450 off of it this year and when he's looked bad this year (TEX the other night and the bomb that Smoak hit off of him in April) it's been because the Cutter has been awful, or technically speaking it isn't cutting. If it's not cutting it just a avg Fastball and avg. Fastballs in the MLB get lit up.

Long/Short save the cutter; save the D-Ro.

He's not horrible, but he's not a top-3 reliever on the team and should not be used as such. I would have preferred to see Betances used in the 8th today. He had a few bad outings in April but his stuff is absolutely dominant and he's ran pretty bad so far.

Robertson walks too many batters for someone whose stuff is not that good.

LOL not he's not even in the lineup...rest day ldo but to that point when it does happen I would expect it to be something like Torres leads off vs LHP and hits 2nd vs RHP. Gardy is just not good enough anymore to deserve those extra ABs.
