Agreed, and in retro just looking at the game in a vacuum I think Girardi was uber frustrated from the start with the umpiring which sometimes leads to dumb, less than optimal moves.

In other news A's want either Torres or Clint Frazier in a deal for Gray. No way Cashman can consider that imo. If your the Astros maybe, but not where the Yankees are at the moment.

Def not Torres, I'm not really sold on Frazier though. He can hit the **** out of the ball but has the worst eye & 0 patience. Reminds me a bit of when Francoeur burst on to the scene. Once pitchers get the scouting report he's gonna start seeing a lot less hitable pitches and likely won't be able to adjust . Obviously he's not dead to be good or anything, I just think given Gray's age and our team build if we could get him for Frazier we should pull the trigger.

I dunno just from seeing Frazier I just think his potential is so high and what he's done so far I'm sold on him. However the pitching market now is starting to show up a bit, so it might be better for Cashman to get leverage by making smaller plays, for example like Darvish. It shouldn't take a lot to get Darvish, so if Cash could sell that back to the A's maybe Beane brings the price down on Gray. It also helps that they are in the same division so that added pressure of potentially seeing decent prospects go to a division rival might spark a panic move.

I'm gonna take a glass half full approach to this...On surface Garcia, barring any other trades, he is better than any 5th starter they can bring up or has already brought up...i.e. Cessa, Smith. It improves the team in that aspect even if its marginal.

As for the prospects Enns is whatever never. Littell could be something but the Yanks have better pitching prospects in Sheffield, Adams, and Kapreilian so im not where he fits into the plan long term.

Overall im not crazy about it one way or the other because Garcia can gas can but he has postseason experience and should eat innings, so fwiw I'd say it's a C ish trade...fingers crossed.
