Keep trolling/tarding it's funny, someday Joba will be overrated by the same idiots and it will be so tilting.

Rivera since the start of 2008: 92 1-3 IP, 103 K, 7 BB. That's 10 K/9, 0.7 BB/9 and 14.7 K/BB. How is that even possible?

Ya Rivera is amazing, most of his blown saves have been due to our ancient outfield letting bloops fall in front of them

i really think that when h feels like he is slipping, he is going to start throwing that change-up that gets a rumor mill run every spring and extend his career another 3-4 years.

How is this not the most obvious solution? Their bullpen is absolutely pathetic right now and they will not make the playoffs with the team they have now. But I forgot, baseball is all about who has the best numbers and not about winning.

the best thing about these ******ed posts is that people are getting scared that the yankees actually might be good again. WAHOOOOO.

Did anyone else just hear Paul O'Neill say good chemistry leads to winning in part because it helps players stay healthy? I'd like to think he's clever enough that it was a joke about steroids, but I'm sure he actually thinks playing Nintendo in the clubhouse makes players less likely to get hurt.

Burnett is so frustrating to watch.

I am legitimately no longer as confident in Burnett as the rest of the rotation. I'm not saying that he can't be a winning pitcher, but his ability to breakdown so easily after giving up a big hit is really starting to bother me. I no longer have the same feeling about him as I do with CC, Joba, or even Andy for that matter. This is more of a concern for the playoffs, especially in the short series, but one that cannot be overlooked. I saw the same thing happen in his start against the Red Sox. I hope it doesn't become a pattern.

There was a time when you had the same feeling about Burnett as CC?

lol burnett hits andrus with a curveball and kay goes "and you wonder" about to imply that it was on purpose (for god knows what reason) -- o'neill just says something along the lines of "lol stfu it was a breaking ball"

also jorge sigh

No.

Maybe I didn't make it clear. What I meant was, unlike CC, Joba, and Andy, it seems (at least to me) that Burnett struggles mentally much moreso than the other three after giving up a big hit. I have seen this during three of his starts, more particularly the game against the Red Sox and this last inning.

I obviously think CC is the better pitcher. I dont even think there is a debate about that.

Yeah, that was pretty unclear.

you just have to accept that hes a much higher variance pitcher than the norm. similar to oliver perez on the mets (tho obv burnett>ollie) in that they will be very frustrating at any time. look great one day look lost the next. he will have his annoying stretches, and then he will have stretches where he carries your rotation. he will always be this way

Yes, re-reading that, I agree. Sometimes I take for granted what's in my head is easily understood when I put it into words. This happens much more often when I'm drinking.
