Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez caught the pitch that was ruled to have hit Chisenhall, and replay showed the ball hit off the knob of Chisenhall's bat on the 0-2 pitch. It should have been strike three to end the inning.

"I take responsibility for everything, and I feel horrible about it," Girardi said.

If we get to Game 5. Would a manager ever do something as insane, but probably correct like manage the game backwards?

Start Chapman for 2 innings, go to Betances for 2 innings, Green for an inning, Robertson for an inning. Then we figure it out from there. Instead we are going to have CC out there and who knows what type of performance we get. I'd rather guarantee we get our 4 best single inning pitchers out there and take my chances.

Didn't Oakland experiment with pitching 3 relievers for 3 innings each for a month or so one year? It didn't work at all, but then again the team was awful at the time.

I mean you have the usual thing where guys that may pitch better with leads have to pitch in a scoreless game, guys that focus best with a significant goal in mind (finish the game, get the ball to the closer, etc.) have a pretty fuzzy motivation instead, etc. Then top it all off with the fact that you might have to throw a starter out in the 8th or something because you've burned everybody else, and...bleh.

Ya Tigers in 2012. That was the year Ibanez had that crazy game vs Baltimore and then Jeter died in game 1 of ALCS and all the Tiger fans celebrated.

We're gonna do this, the Astros are worse than the Indians, both matchup wise and overall.

Man Houston's lineup playing at these two stadiums is scary. Hoping we can use the bullpen depth as a tool and stay out of the situations where Drob or anyone else is expected to make the game shorter by extending their innings; that's really gonna show up if the series gets extended.

Chapman in particular is a worrisome bet to flame out and get trounced if their hitters get to see his pitching sequences in repeated high leverage spots
