There were a lot of warning signs during the winning streak.... starters not getting deep giving the pen a high workload and while the hitting they were getting was clutch in a lot of games only Cabrera and Frazier are performing well at the plate. Cespedes is swinging at anything in the area code, the best OF hitters for avg and OPS right now are the 4th and 5th on the depth chart, and the catcher's position is basically an automatic out.

If they do lose tonight they'll be 12-5, have the 2nd best record in the NL, and because of Monday's 8th inning and that the sweep would be by the Nationals it feels like all the optimism is gone.

So I've been killing Mickey for letting pitchers hit in spots in lieu of going for offense, now I have to praise him for last night.

I don't care Matz retired 10 in a row. He was likely only throwing 15-20 more pitches anyway (an inning or less) and I rather go for the offense in that spot than use Matz who is only going to get 1-3 more outs.

Team ran way above expectation to start year. They are an 84 win team. Will fight for a wild card down the stretch but will fall short because they only have 2 reliable starters.
