You wouldn't be saying this if Bortles held on for another 5 minutes against the Pats in the AFCCG.

And you know better than that. My jynx's aren't that quick. It's more like a tweak in Conforto's left finger that 3 months later we learn is some rare cancer that is treatable but requires him to retire. It's the long haul of pain and suffering. Poor Wright has dealt with it for years.

what did everyone think about letting Jake hit in the 6th with a man on first? Terry did that all the time, not pinch hitting for a starter when going to literally use him for only 3 more outs.

I thought it was the correct move , de Grom pitched one more inning . The thing is , he is managing a good aggro game , he constantly has Rosario and others taking extra bases , making the fielder's make tough plays. This is the type of manager we have been waiting for.

Looks like D'arnaud is dead.

deGrom is not a bad hitter and they don't have Nimmo on the bench. Wasn't really pitching a bad game either. Dinks and dunks until that Bour homer.

Can really only think of a single perplexing move from Mickey so far. Letting Gsellman hit in that game first week.

TDA going down might work in the Mets favor. Maybe they will actually look to upgrade the position which is desperately needed.

Also, while I am excited by the Mets start - do not forget they were 13-3 in 2015 and were dead in buried in June prior to trading for Yoenis and him going on a ridiculous run.

Yeah, no. It's 100+ starts from Plawecki, which...if he can keep his OBP up and not hit so many ground balls has a chance to be not terrible, but 2nd catcher is either Lobaton or Nido. They're not going out to get anyone to start.
