I don't want to face Bumgarner. Hopefully STL and SF will be in a tie today and both use their best pitcher in a playoff game.

It's amazing that James Loney has 9 HRs in 350 ABs. His career numbers are similar HR numbers in twice as many ABs and is why he wound up without a 1B job this year.

Cubs have the best defense in baseball. Gonna make any pitcher look better than they really are if you're using raw numbers.

Absolutely about the Cubs defense. Historic team BABIP allowed and Syndergaard certainly did have a better year than Lester even if he won't be considered. Hendricks is the real deal though. Only pitcher to induce more weak contact than hard this year. He helped the defense as much as they helped him.

I also think I bump Terry past Showalter in managerial rankings tonight. Which is kinda saying something since I would have probably had Showalter top five about two hours ago.
