Not that the marlins need any more motivation to beat us , but with Fernandez , loved by his teammates , they will definitely play inspired baseball. So sad to know that his start got pushed back to face the Mets. He was my current favorite player not named Flores and I think all who saw him pitch could not help but like this guy. Gonna be a tough series for sure. Regarding the playoffs. I was thinking deep about it this past week and I rather face the giants ,even though it's an even year . They have been playing horrible for the second half and if they pitch madbum , it will be towards our strength.

I haven't been able to do much but scoreboard watch since school started in August... how has Terry been since say August 15?

Has it been mainly like the previously years where he is an awful manager and just luck boxes a run that everyone gives him credit for?

How is he a terrible manager compared to so many in the league today? Especially when you factor in his leadership and good standing with the players I don't mind him.

At least last year, in game, he was probably a bottom 3 manager in baseball. Maybe only Matt Williams and Mattingly were worse.

He consisted makes the most bone headed decisions in games but the past 2 seasons they have won in spite of him.

Mets are playing the bottom teams in the worst division in baseball. Difficult for Terry to **** this up. I'd say 80% of all managers suck strategically. Upgrading would probably win another game or two. Having a strong strategic manager (Maddon?) might have made last year's World Series turn out differently.

Edit: If looking for specific incidences of incompetence, the Tigers series comes to mind and failure to pinch run for Flores with a 50 man bench got him killed a couple weeks ago.
